NAME: Warren Gideon Emerson.
NICKNAME Warren has actually had a lot of alias' in the past but went back to his original name (technically) when he met Irina, his current alias is James Hammond. He will answer to most anything. Irina is fond of calling him 'brown eyes' and a number of other nicknames.
AGE AND DOB: 31; 14th June, 1988.
CAREER: Grifter, criminal, conartist, forger. He's a jack of illegal trades.
CURRENT RESIDENCE:
MARTIAL STATUS: Technically single however he is in love with Irina Black and has been for the majority of the three years they've lived together.
SEXUALITY: Fluid, Irinasexual.
HEIGHT: 5"10.
EYE / HAIR COLOUR: Brown / Brown.
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: Over the years Warren has collected numerous scars and tattoos. Over his shoulder/bicep he has a colourful abstract design which is accented with black. Covering half of his back he has a large piece of a 'rip' through his skin which is exposing a chained wing, signifying how he feels trapped. His most recent tattoo is situated on the inner part of his ring finger on his left hand and is a small emerald stone which represents Irina.

ABILITIES

INNATE ABILITY Warren's innate ability is invisibility. It's simple, easy and is exceedingly handy for his line of work. Warren is capable of bending light around him in order to appear invisible. It doesn't mask scent or sound but over the years he has worked on his own to mask both scent and sound. Warren is capable of holding this around himself for up to around an hour before a migraine will set in. He is capable of bending light around another however this drastically decreases the length of time he can hold it and the physical effects it has on him.

WITCH All witches are capable of tapping into a well of magic, of energy which they can craft into something of their making, forming it into what they want and Warren is no different in that respect. He has no formal training, no one to guide him in his abilities, his mother never told him how to do anything, never taught him a thing and so he has had to control it and harness it himself. He isn't the best at his craft around, he hasn't worked for years and years on it, he knows enough to get by, the things which are good in his line of work. In recent years however his interest has been renewed for one reason: Irina. Warren wishes to find her something which will let her kiss, whether it be him -- he hopes -- or any one else, he wishes to help find her something which can give her some form of control.

ETHER: Warren is well versed on the Ether though he hardly uses it to contact anyone but for Irina in the past three years. He is a rush of adrenaline, like standing on the very edge of a cliff and looking down. A rush of laughter which you just can't help with a heated dash of alcohol. A warm hand around your own, a steady presence despite that first gasping, thrill ride, an acknowledgement of his steady trustworthiness. There is a hint of a boyish grin about him, a rogue who touches inappropriately. Angered that burn of alcohol becomes choking, that rush of adrenalin becoming a spike of panic which cuts through everything like a well honed blade.
SKILLS: Much of Warren's abilities are in regards to his line of work; his ability to make perfect replicas of paintings, artefacts is well, kind of amazing. He just has a natural talent for it which his mother certainly exploited in his younger years. His ability to forge has come in very, very handy in his line of work and is something he actually prefers to running a con in full. Warren is a very good people person, he is quite empathic and capable of transforming himself into other people, taking on masks and roles in order to gain trust and ultimately whatever his target is. He has a plethora of random, and useless, skills which range from drumming, guitar playing to cheating at poker. Warren has picked up numerous skills over the years, ones which he may only ever use once or twice but it's the basic knowledge of things which comes in handy when perfecting whatever mask he may be wearing at the time, makes whoever he is more real and believable.
LIMITATIONS: Warren's biggest limitation, his biggest weakness is Irina. On their first meeting he took a beating for her when she had left him stranded, naked with no clothes, no hope, leaving him, effectively to die. And he took it willingly, without complainant and without giving up her name. Warren has a very skewed sense of morality and loyalty, something which really is a hindrance in his line of work. He has to think that he is someone evil, something dark like he believes his mother to be, a cold hearted bitch who conned and swindled her way around without any thought to whose life she was potentially ruining. After his long term girlfriend left him -- someone he believed was 'the one' -- Warren picked up numerous unhealthy habits one of which was gambling which he quickly took to an unhealthy level. To the point that he has racked up some seriously dangerous debt.
WEAPONRY TRAINING: In his line of work it is always best to be prepared and so Warren has made certain he has whether it be with a gun, blade or his fists. He can be a very dirty fighter at times, doing anything he could in order to win. He hates taking a life, hates to think he may have killed but if it is required then it is something he will do and he certainly won't lose sleep over it.

● In reality Warren was fucked before he was even concieved, the likely path of his life already chosen. Dawn Emerson was not the most upstanding citizen around, in fact she was a selfish woman who used anyone and everyone around her, she came first and nothing would ever change that, not even her son. Her greed took her into a life of a conartist, conning her way into people's lives before taking everything they had.
● It was on one of her jobs that Warren was actually concieved. Warren's father was a wealthy business man who Dawn had targetted purely for his money, seducing and using him for months on end, allowing him to believe that the two of them had any sort of future together. Something which abruptly ended when Dawn realised she was pregnant and slipt, taking as much money as she could on the way out.
● From there on out Warren's life changed very little. They lived on the road, spending only a few months here and there as his mother worked whatever rich man -- or woman, she wasn't fussy -- she could find until they were on their way once more. This was something which Warren grew used to over the years, more used to sleeping in the backseat of her car than a bed.
● Little changed as he grew up beyond the fact that she invested his skills too, using him as she saw fit in order to fund the lavish lifestyle she grew used to over the years as she amassed her money.
● While Dawn certainly had everything she could want or desire -- restraint was certainly not one of her very, very few good points -- Warren had very little. Oh, he was fed, always had nice clothes, was always very clean but he was also very lonely and went without any real warmth in those years.
● One of the few things he was given was a sketch pad and colours and it was from these that his talents started. Over the years he developed his artistic skills, letting them grow. Warren isn't sure when he began to copy things, when he began to develop his ability to recreate things but it was certainly something which his mother latched on to. Warren himself merely found it fun, an escape when he was left in the hotel or apartment on his own, a challenged to see how well he could recreate famous paintings which soon grew to more under his mother's pressure. His own art isn't something which Warren does very often any more, believing he has lost his own creativity to the job.
● Over the years Dawn drew him into her world, got him working along side her, taught him the ways of the con. Not out of any sense of duty, not in the way of an elder teaching their craft to the new generation but because she saw more money in him, a tool to use as she saw fit, to develop.
● It didn't take Warren long to pick up on it, at first almost latching on to it all because it was something new, something to learn and devour. He soon grew to hate it, to hate what they did to people but there was no way out, no way he could say no, hating even more the thought of being alone.
● When Warren was sixteen his mother made a mistake, one which very nearly saw her going to jail for fraud. If it wasn't for Warren that was. He entirely took the blame and ended up on the run, getting s far from his mother as was able unable to wrap his mind around how his own flesh and blood could betray him like that. It was the first time someone hurt him like that but certainly not the last.
● Faced with the big, wide world Warren realised how little he could actually do. He had no skills, he hadn't been in High School, he simply had no knowledge of this vast world which was suddenly at his feet and so he turned to the one thing he did know; forgery. While he was young he was ballsy and he forced himself to get out there, to do what he had to do to survive. He wasn't going to have come this far only to end up on the streets, or worse.
● Years lasted like this, forging and conning his way through America, always on the road, always going somewhere else, somewhere better, a new dream, a new hope. Every city he came to would be the last time, the last job, the last painting or statue. It never was, he always found some excuse. He didn't know why he didn't go straight; fear? maybe, he had been a grifter for so long, living an illegal life and what could he offer society? what could he really do?
● He was twenty four when he met Nikki. A beautiful blonde who Warren thought was The One. He loved her, let her nearly fully into his life, gave her more pieces of himself than he had anyone else and he even planned to ask to marry her and even had the ring.
● That plan went out of the window as he came home to find her gone. Nikki had left him and taken everything he had, every bit of money from every secret account he had and left him with not only her angry debt collectors on his ass but his own.
● Effectively Warren was somewhat screwed to say the least; left with people bigger, meaner, more violent than him on his ass and no money to speak of. There were a number of close calls over the years and Warren is still looking over his shoulder, not entirely having paid 'his' debts yet.
● It was during one of his desperate attempts to get people off his back for a while that he met Irina Black, a woman who entirely turned his life around and upside down and every which way. They were both going after the same very, very expensive emerald and ended up clashing. While Warren stole a kiss Irina stole not only the emerald but his clothes leaving him very, very naked and really, well, screwed.
● Before Warren could leave he was waylaid by the security of his would be victim. Naked and bruised -- both his ego and physically -- from his run in with Irina Warren was unable to fend them off and ended up tied, naked, to a chair. And beaten. Evidentially Warren was not the one to take the emerald and so they attempted to beat who had out of him, a fact which Warren refused to divulge and wouldn't have even if it had meant death.
● Luckily death wasn't to come for him that night as instead his fiery redhead returned instead, unwilling to see someone take a beating for him. Though Warren will still say to this day that in fact it is just his sexiness which brought her back. Whatever it was he is eternally grateful to her.
● Warren had taken quite a serious beating and so he spend a number of weeks with Irina as he got his strength back and healed. Weeks ended up turning into months and well, three years later they're still living together. Warren is forever waiting for her to wake up and realise the mistake of letting him any where near her, even if they are only friends.
● For the past three years or so they have developed not only a friendship -- and more on Warren's side of the fence -- but a working relationship. It is for Irina that he is still in the game, believing that he will lose her if he were to mention ever stopping something which he doesn't think he is strong enough to take.

UNREQUITED LOVE
There relationship is a little complicated to say the least. The beginning was a little rocky what with her beating the shit out of him, taking his emerald and his clothes and him subsequently nearly dying in a peculiarly heroic bid to protect her. They've been somewhat inseparable ever since basically because she took him home and he just never left. Warren loves her, a silly, amazing, incredible amount. Enough to stay in a life he hates, enough to die for her, enough to never tell her because her actuality of her being in his life isn't something he could ever risk. He jokes around with her a lot, flirts, makes a lot of innuendo, openly stares at her and has numerous times stole kisses but there's always an air of silliness to it, a joke, something which masks how truly serious he is about her.
