He doesn't say anything to that. As much as he wants to forgive her, her running made him feel so...rejected. Like she didn't want him around, he wasn't important, or he just wasn't good enough. Like usual.
When he hits the next stop light he turns to look at her and waits. He can see she's holding something back and the look he gives her tells her he's waiting for her to continue.
