They've been living together for over a year. He says he'd try to get her to warm up to him... not necessarily trying to seduce her... he just doesn't want them to be strangers living in the same space. Not to mention, it's required that they spend a certain amount of time together each day.
He usually has more than enough girls to occupy him, so he wouldn't feel the need to seduce her. He'd probably aim for friendship. He would agree with her if she said the AMP was ridiculous. He went along with it because that's what his father expected him to do.
He tends to act like he's five when he's jealous, so it's entirely possible that she could realize that he's in love with his best friend long before he realizes it. Like now, for instance, the best friend refused to blow off ballroom dancing to makeout with him. He's annoyed. That would probably show while he's dancing with his own fiancée in class.
Jeremy is all about the flirty friendship. He's super sad that he can't charm her into his bed, though. His best friend sleeps with HER fiancé. It'd be nice if he could do the same. In my head, he says that they could do it no strings attached. Hell, she could tell him that she's planning on ditching out, and he'd still play along with her.
