Blood: Half: Her dad's a wizard, and her mom's a witch. However, her aunt on her mom's side was a muggleborn, which is how her dad met her mom.

Basic Personality: Glenda's all about appearance. Not because she particularly enjoys curling her hair, painting her nails, and applying prodigious amounts of carefully-placed makeup, but because she realizes that appearances get you places: People like to talk to an ear that is attractively pampered. And if there's one thing that Glenda enjoys more than talking, it's listening. She'll listen to anything--gossip, philosophic thoughts, teenage woes--anything that comes from a person that she finds interesting.
But she really,
really likes talking. She's the announcer for the Quidditch games, not so much because she enjoys Quidditch, but because she loves hearing people exclaim and groan over what she tells them. She's fiercely opinionated, even on things that no one should ever have an opinion
on ("ALL GREEN SOCKS ARE
ITCHY, I TELL YOU"), and usually flat-out refuses to believe she's wrong, even with irrefutable evidence. This lends her a certain air of pomposity and ego, which alienates people; however, her good humor usually makes up for it.
History: As previously mentioned, Glenda's Aunt Olivia was a muggleborn witch; when she brought Edgar Chittock home one summer from Hogwarts, he somehow wound up marrying Olivia's sister, Daine. Glenda isn't quite sure how that happened, as Olivia then didn't speak to Daine for a good decade or so, and still won't speak to Edgar; she was smart enough to know from a tender age that it was not a good question to ask.
This type of soap-operatic scene is fairly typical in the Chittock family; drama seems to run in their veins, as well as truly awful names. Glenda has an older sister, Mahilda, who ran away from home at the age of fifteen, resurfacing three months later as a student in Beauxbatons, and now works as an emissary for England in France; and twelve-year-old brother, Fitzpatrick, who received his first detention as soon as he stepped foot into Hogwarts by tipping over the Head Table with the aid of a marble, a stick of butter, a Concealment spell, and a very startled owl. (Most professors were all for expelling Fitz before he could be sorted, but Dumbledore pointed out that an eleven-year-old who could cast a Concealment spell was one worth keeping, even if he was an enormous pain in the arse.)
The craziness that is the Chittock family is probably one of the reasons why Glenda enjoys listening to mundanity as much as she does; a boring, commonplace life is as fascinating to her as her life is to thousands of soap-opera watchers.
Hobbies: Glenda is a dueling fiend, with words as well as wands, and is thus the vice-president of the Dueling Club. She commentates Quidditch matches, as previously mentioned, and loves reading; she's a Ravenclaw, after all.
Patronus: A shrew. She was pissed.
Boggart: A thestral; it's something that she knows she can't see now, but is terrified of being able to see in the future.
Pet: An owl named John and a cat named Jane--she's trying to compensate.
