i define "around" as comments people's sl posts, comments intros and random posts, makes sure to reply to every comment they get to their posts, and offers up customs. you don't have to be on aim

it's not in my character's nature for her to be friends with everyone or to talk to everyone so sorry if you're bothered by me not commenting your random posts or if that means i'm "not around"

there comes a point though where it stops being "my character isn't friendly" and starts being "i am not friendly." if you don't at least try to be welcoming to new members, whether it's by commenting sl posts ooc or going the organic route by commenting intros, it comes across badly.

first of all, i think that was a troll throwing up names but whatever. all this has done is made me want to get to know the people that are being called cliquey, because i bet you they're really nice. so i for one am going to make an effort to get to know them now

i've tried with a couple of the popular people and have gotten fuck all in return. i won't name names since it's against the rules here and i don't want to be like the bitchy anon above, but yeah, some of the people who are mentioned in here all the time as being so awesome are really not.

this might out me but because i have to get up early for work, i'm only on the computer from about ... 5pm until 10pm est, at the latest. and i'm rarely free to be around on weekend. a lot seems to go on after 11 and on weekends so i guess i can understand how i could be seen as not around

i think people mistake friendship groups for cliques. i mean ~dilucia, ~daniels, and ~allistair are obviously a group, but they are so friendly to other people as is the ~maberly, ~coutes, ~vandervliet, ~wennett group.

not all friendship groups are cliques, guys. do you not have groups of friends you typically hang out with irl? that doesn't mean you completely exclude others, you just tend to gravitate toward them most.
