this is a tough one! i want something that would really change an aspect of how he feels about himself, and something that wouldn't have inevitably happened anyway. i think he would probably go back to an elementary school academic competition, like a spelling bee or a science fair, that his older brother more likely than not won. josh has always felt stupid and inadequate in comparison to chris and i think a lot of that probably goes fairly far back.
