it might seem crazy, but sometimes when i'm losing my interest in a game/character i'm already in, i pick a random game in pbads (the quality of it doesn't really matter, since i mostly just do it as an exorcise) and start setting up a "new character" usually i never get far with it and a lot of times it's at a game that i'd never actually join. i've just found it's the best way to truly step out of one character's head.
