1) Alina insisted that she pick him up instead of the other way around, mostly so that their date wouldn't consist of her calming him down after he ran the gauntlet of her extended family.
2) A magical mishap resulted in a squirrel falling in very determined love with Will's left shoe. Eventually, it had to be teleported to another state.
3) The date was interrupted by a bank robbery, but they managed to get it dealt with before the movie started.
4) The movie they saw was about the third Blue Beetle. Alina almost got them kicked out of the theater because she was laughing too loudly at the inaccuracies.
5) A goodly portion of the end of the date was spent on the swings at a local playground.
