icName: Narcissa Black
Age: 16
House: Slytherin
History: Narcissa was born on a rainy Wednesday in April, and she arrived in the world screaming. She was being taken from her comfortable place in her mother's womb to a strange, cold place. As a child she tended to stick close to her siblings, either Bella or Andie, whichever one happened to be closer at the time. And when there was absolutely no one else, she would follow her older cousin Sirius around, just so she wouldn't be alone. He was always very nice to her, though she was never particularly nice to him. Still, when he ran away and was blasted off the family tree, she secretly took it very hard. He was family, after all.
Once, when Narcissa was about seven, she got lost in the intricate hidden tunnel system that winds through the Black Manor. The previous day she had decided to do something on her own for once and ventured into the tunnels. She was simply trying to get to the kitchen, but took a wrong turn somewhere along the way. Rabastan Lestrange, a family friend, found her the next day, curled against the wall in the tunnel right next to the dungeons. He picked her up and carried her out into the dungeons and then up through the many flights of stairs into the girl's drawing room. Needless to say, she doesn't make it a habit to go into the tunnels anymore.
When Narcissa started Hogwarts, she was completely terrified. She'd been on trips with her family before and she'd attended the many, many events that the Black family hosted, but she'd never been away from her family for such a long period of time. True, when she was home her parents didn't necessarily give her all of their attention, but she was still used to them being around. Another thing that amazed her was the amount of noise other children could make. She'd heard Sirius and Bella screaming at each other and running through the Manor before, but that sound didn't seem to resonate as badly in the Manor as it did in Hogwarts.
As the years dragged on, Narcissa slowly grew more comfortable in Hogwarts, and even grew to tolerate the noise. Still, it has been known to get to her and she has been known to hex anyone that happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. When she started her fifth year, she finally started to notice that Lucius Malfoy had a tendency to stare at her where ever she went. She finally realized that he liked her at the end of her fifth year, when her mother mentioned something about him and how she should invite him to an event. Narcissa considered this, and considered that even if he didn't turn out to be a suitable mate, at least he'd provide some entertainment for her. She continues to torture him, even now, but somewhere, deep deep down, she might actually be growing fond of him.
Personality: Narcissa, unfortunately, is not what you'd call a nice girl. She's rather mean and conniving, but in the quietest and sweetest way possible. But don't be mistaken, a lack of confidence has nothing to do with it. Narcissa is a
Black, she has more than enough confidence. She's simply mean and connving because she doesn't have anything better to do. And it's not entirely her fault, she'll tell you, since it's in her blood. She firmly believes in the Pureblood Mania, though to her it's not mania, it's simply life. She does not enjoy change, she's even slightly afraid of it, but don't tell her that. She'll do almost anything to avoid big changes, in fact, she's even rather apprehensive about Bella getting married to Rudolphus in the coming months.
She's a fan of silence. Well, maybe not complete silence, but Narcissa really just dislikes loud, unnecessary noises that give her headaches. She has a short fuse when it comes to silence and getting her homework done. She usually stays in the library for that very reason. It's always quiet in the library, save for the few disrespectful people that manage to find their way in and disturb her. It's nothing a silencing charm can't fix, though. She is very spoiled, and very used to things happening how she wants them to happen. At the manor, she generally stays hidden in the library, save for special occasions and, of course, dinner. The special occasions are rather hard for her to attend, as she tends to start feeling claustrophobic. She toughs it out, however, until she knows she's said hello to everyone in attendance, then she'll either escape outside to the gardens or to the library. Her family has caught on to her hiding in the library though, so generally she goes outside now.
When she was little, Narcissa had an extremely dependent personality. As she's grown older she's become more independent, but still sometimes when she's upset she'll ask to crawl into one of her sister's beds. Her nickname because of this is 'Cuddles' and anyone that calls her by it in public gets a glare and a silent hex. Narcissa is extremely observant. She believes it comes from being so quiet and unnoticeable most of the time. It gives her the opportunity to sit back and watch people and learn what makes them tick. She tends to use her powers of observation for evil (ie, drama causing and manipulation) more than she does for good.
Reputation: In the Black Family, Narcissa is know as the 'Quiet One' Most of the relatives, the ones that don't spend a lot of time around her, think she's rather sweet as well. Narcissa simply lets them believe this because it's in her favor if they don't think she's an awful person. She's also the family gossip. If there's anything anyone in the family wants to know, they go to Narcissa.
Details: Rather fond of reading. Hates loud and unnecessary noises. Has been known to verbally bitchslap people for being too loud. Known to love gossip, but no one knows if what she says is actually true, most people still trust her, though. Prefers watching people to actually interacting with them. The sooner she figures people out, the sooner she can manipulate them.

First Person Sample:There is a distinctly annoying voice piercing through the walls of the dormitory. One would think that the cold would discourage people from making noise, but obviously that's simply nonsense. What I would like to know is how these children's parents live with themselves, knowing their children run wild like geese at school. Do they even care? I shudder to think what the children are like at home.
It's simply unacceptable behavior, really.
