Basics

Name: Fox Zane
Age: 16
Date of birth: August 7, 1992
Occupation: Student
Sexuality: Straight
Relationship Status: Single

Personality

Positives: Friendly, athletic, practical, flexible, hard-working, determined
Negatives: Uncertain, immature, naive, stubborn

Summary: Fox is a nice kid who is just trying to figure out who he really is. He's always wanted to be normal and accepted, and sometimes loses sight of more important things in persuit of that goal. He's friendly but sometimes has trouble telling real friends from false ones. He's very driven and will work towards any goal almost single-mindedly.

History

Family: Sunny Zane (mother, age 39), Eric Zane (father, age 40), Tuesday Zane (sister, age 18) ([info]weirdipedia), Clover Zane (brother, age 4)

Summary: Fox is the second child of a couple of wannabe hippies. He grew up on the family's organic farm, helping out and spending weekends at the farmer's market. His main influence was his sister Tuesday who was two years older than him. He'd follow her around and try to do everything that she did. That is, until he went off to school. Then he started hearing about how weird his family was. Their clothes weren't like the other kids clothes, they didn't join the scouting troops or soccer teams, and no one else ever brought edemame and vegan casseroles in their lunch bags. Tuesday didn't seem bothered by all that, but Fox desperately wanted to be normal.

When the family moved to the island he finally got that chance. His father worked on the docks and his mom had a shop. Sure it was kind of a weird shop, but it was still a step towards normality. He could hang out at the beach, or invite friends over without having to warn them about the goat. All in all, he was much happier there.

High school wasn't awesome, but it was okay. By then his parents had another kid, Clover, who got a lot of their attention, leaving Fox and Tuesday to their own devices. Fox wasn't a popular kid, as much as he would have liked to be. More like invisible, but at least he wasn't getting teased or made fun of. He tried out for sports and spent most of the baseball and basketball seasons working hard in practice and then spending the games on the bench.

That changed a few months into his sophomore year. Suddenly things just clicked and he went from bench warmer to star of the JV teams. He could see a new move once and instantly replicate it in every detail. It was a miracle he attributed to puberty finally not totally sucking. Or maybe it was some sort of reward for being either mocked or invisible most of his life. He wasn't invisible anymore. In fact, he was very nearly popular. It did wonders for his self-esteem, but he wasn't totally sure how to handle that.

Power

Adoptive Muscle Memory: Fox has the ability to replicate any physical action after seeing it performed once. Since it is muscle memory, he is able to use his ability with or without active concentration.
