Hogsmeade weekend left the common room buzzing, but Phoebe paid it no mind. She sat and said goodbye to Ellie and everyone else, sitting quite contently on the end of the big blue couch by the window, the one where you can see the pitch? Yes, she was sitting quite nicely on one end of it, and Phoebe cast a look toward Elphias, who was sitting on the other end, completely engrossed (or that's what it looked like, anyway, the book was nearly touching the tip of his nose) in his transfiguration text.

She watched as the door to the common room closed, the final Hogsmeade visitor gone and off for the next four hours, at least. Phoebe sat tentatively on her side of the couch, wondering...hmm...because Elphias had definitely stayed because she couldn't go, and...well...he wasn't planning to read the entire time, was he?

Slowly she shifted over, acting as if she was actually interested in what he was reading, "What's that chapter about?"

"I have no idea."

Phoebe's eyebrows rose; he'd been reading that for the past twenty minutes! She scooted closer and took a look at the text, noticing for the first time that the book was upside down. A blush rushed up her neck, and before she could ask him why his book was upside, Elphias kissed her quickly, pinning her to the back of the couch.

When they came up for air (wow) Phoebe stared up at Elphias, completely flabbergasted (quite happy, but flabbergasted), "Er---"

"Sorry! Sorry--It's just---it was hard, to---to not. When people were here. But I'm okay now," Elphias said with a nod, "Got it out of my system."

"I hope it's not all out," Phoebe said with a grin, hand reaching forward to pull Elphias into another kiss. Merlin.
