Dedalus/Emmeline
She'd been in tight situations before, but never as literally as this.
"I didn't know the alley was going to get narrower," Dedalus muttered testily, keeping his chin up to avoid knocking his head into Emmeline's. Seriously? Seriously? You stop running when you start to run out of room, that's how it worked. Okay, sure they'd just been chased down by a pack of death eaters, and sure that this seemed like the only way out (and the death eaters hadn't followed), but why had he continued to tug her along---
--okay, okay, it wasn't all Dedalus' fault. How was he supposed to know about the faulty charm work on these buildings? To live among muggles, some buildings needed spell work to push them closer than humanely possible--but not magically. So---they just--were pushing too close now and they'd realized the walls were closing in far too late for one to push ahead of the other, so--the exit was just a bit further--fucking magic---
"Okay, stop," Emmeline let out, barely able to breath. This was so fucking annoying, and ridiculous and uncomfortable and--
"What??" Dedalus squeaked, a squeak that was not a normal, we-are-in-mortal-peril-squeak. No, it sounded like he was...that was a boy squeak, you know, when boys get uncomfortable with things and they try to cover it up and what could he possibly--
Emmeline looked down between them and flushed; how she hadn't noticed that they were pressing chest to chest rather hard? Dedalus looked down at the same time, and their faces were centimeters from each other, if she just pressed a bit closer they'd--
"Oh--" she let out, looking away. Awkward, awkward, and of course Dedalus had noticed it before, boys would notice that first and---Emmeline let out a gasp, as she realized that the thing that had been pressing into her wasn't his hand or wand but, "DEDALUS DIGGLE!"
"I'M SORRY I CAN'T---WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO---I---IT'S NATURE---"
"THINK---ABOUT---SOMETHING---ELSE!"
"I CAN'T BECAUSE THEN I START THINKING ABOUT WHAT I'M TRYING NOT TO THINK ABOUT AND---AND---"
"I'm going to go deal with the death eaters now, thank you."
