Aemelia sighed, clenching her arms tighter around across her chest. Evan had decided to just run off, doing who the hell knew who, leaving her all alone at this forsaken gathering in fucking England. England. Like France wasn't that bad enough, but at least it was better than bloody England were every single person was related to each other. Everyone she had never cared to meet was here in packs of twenty, all just dying to meet her because 'your parents never bring you over here anymore.'

Like she had to exert brain cells to wonder why.

Letting out a loud sigh, Aemelia turned to face another direction, only to find a male just around her age standing relatively close with the exact same annoyed expression on his face. Oh. He seemed somewhat familiar. "We're related," she spoke in English, expecting nothing less after a few minutes of dual silence.

Without making any indication that he was very much aware of his french cousin, Thedore responded stoically. "Malheureusement," Theodore drawled, his eyebrows going high before taking a sip of his drink.

Aemelia, in spite of her self, let out a light gasp. Had she just--- met a smart person? Blinking quickly, it only took a few moments to recollect herself. Well then. This social gathering might not be that bad after all.

"Aemelia Nott," she smirked, sticking out a hand to meet his. Theodore glanced over at her, taking a few seconds to look her over before making any indication of movement. With a slight nod, he broke posture.

"Theodore," he answered, taking her hand quickly before dropping it. "Nott."
