ATTN: STUDENTS,
This is your Head Girl, Mona M. Mumps. In this time, I would like to make an urgent request for students to respond to this event in a manner that would make our former headmaster proud -- we may be shocked, distraught, and outraged; however, this is no time for idle gossip. The truth will be known, and I have little doubt it will not be playing favor to vacuous, insulting gossip that has been tossed around regarding certain members of our students and staff.
This is a time for grief and respect, and I expect only the best behaviour from each and every one of you, just as the late Albus Dumbledore would have. Please, keep collected and stay calm; refer any questions necessary to your Prefects, Inquisitorial Squad, Professors Carrow, Heads of Houses, or Apollo or myself, as we shall be onhand to answer any concerns or fears. Follow all instructions from members of staff, and remember that it is this time that we must support each other and stay strong more than ever: we may be from separate backgrounds, houses, and ages; but we are only strongest when we are united.

ATTN: THIRTEENTH YEARS,
In order to avoid shackles being raised by younger students (particularly those more boisterous), I would privately request that as the leaders, mentors, and eldest students at this school, we set an example at this time. There needs to be no unnecessary outside chaos, no rumors started, and so help me, if ONE of you spends the next week idly gossipping and causing panic, I shall put you in a detention that makes Auschwitz look like a merry tea-party for squirrels. You will follow instructions, you WILL make the younger students feel safe, and you WILL NOT ignore this.
I will be watching.
