[in a quaint little outdoor cafe, dressed in a stylish black tight-fitted turtleneck sweater. drinking from a delicate looking china cup, totally casual, but is scanning the crowds waiting for his "delivery boy" to show up and bring him a certain package. but they seem to be running late, so is getting progressively more wary, but on the outside remains casual, ordering a second cup of tea when the waitress passes by.]

[was sent out of the office for a delivery run himself, delivery being the coffee run for the other detectives in the office, heading down to the cafe area armed with a list of what everyone wanted. some of this stuff he has never heard of? What wrong with good old fashion straight black? different flavors and ugh. soy? ducks into the door and goes up to the counter placing the order, taking a step to the side ignoring the flirty nature of the woman behind the counter, resting up against it, looking around observing the people sitting around. habit, is always on the look out. old couple, young couple, lots of couples, single man... that's out of place for the moment.] No, just put whatever is on the list into it. Don't put in anything else. [sigh.] .... [single man still is catching his eye. puts his hand up telling her to wait with her further questions, slowly moving towards outside again, curious trying to see the man's face. no, is not trying to pick up on him. is *cough*happily married*cough*]

[isn't going to be that stupid or brave to jump out into traffic to get away, going along the sidewalk which involves pushing more people out of the way.] Shit! [sees the side change, quickly looks back for an opening and runs out in the short gap between cars, just lightly connecting with the corner of one on the way past. stings but ignores, running hard to make up the distance.]

[deal? random coffee trip turned into a lot better it appeared, smirking smugly back at him, passing off that it was all planned. grabs phone out of pocket, pressing the speed dial for the precinct, telling the first person in his department that picks up to get on the cafe and wait to see if this person shows up.] .... [grabs onto the corner and using it and his momentum to push himself around it, continuing pursuit.] Stop and we can talk about it then. [looks around to where they are heading, making all kinds of notes of what they are passing. need less people, can't get innocent people caught up in this.]

You can't keep running forever. [yes. stopped enough to catch up, jumping up following, grabbing around the waist, tired from the run so using his body weight to fall backwards to yank him off the fence, almost tripping himself up in the same process. lets go of Madara and stumbles back a couple of steps to regain balance, not even worried about getting the full footing and reaches under his jacket for his gun.]

[stops dead still, hand on the butt but knows very well that a sudden pull for it to get it out is only going to get his head blown off.] .... [grits teeth and lowers himself down to onto his knees, not going all the way down to the ground like Madara wanted, raising his hands out to the side to show he is not concealing anything and places them on his head.] Now what? [is not getting down face first onto the ground. completely cool and calm even though potentially could be dead in a seconds notice.]

He has lung cancer, and lacks the health insurance to get proper treatment. If you can't afford chemotherapy, then the hospital wants nothing to do with you. It shouldn't be terminal, but the system intended to protect sick people hurts them more than it helps. I'm all he has, I've been taking care of him and getting medicine smuggled to him, so he can at least not suffer. I, too, can't afford to pay such immense hospital bills, no matter what I do. He's a strong man and determined to recover on his own, even despite the seriousness of his ailments... do you know how long it takes to set up a connection that will actually give a shit about this? Thanks for ruining it. [looks hurt, like you just kicked his puppy.]
