Test Scene

Sean blended in with the crowd as best he could. He put on some good clothes for an incognito run, with his special suit buffering them from his body. He had a pistol with a silencer hidden away, just in case. There was not much that Sean didn't like to be prepared for. His target was in his sights some short distance away. And so far, Sean had been able to remain unnoticed.

	Nicolai was out having lunch at a nice restaurant with two rather beautiful young women. It was a weekend so he didn’t have much work to do and could afford to go out and have a little fun. As much as Silver and Nicolai would never admit it they were a lot alike. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	After they finished lunch Nicolai escorted the ladies to the limo. He didn’t get in though as he had found some business to attend to during lunch that he was going to stealth fully engage. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	That triggered a string of thoughts in Sean's head. The women were in the limo, but Nicolai was not. He moved from one position to the next, getting a better angle of vision on his target. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Sean didn't look back to see if Nicolai had noticed him again. Instead, he used reflective surfaces around him. Windows, cars, hand-held mirrors that women carried with them. He grimaced when he saw Nicolai following him.

The crowd he was walking with passed by an alleyway, and Sean took that as his exit. He sprinted down the alleyway until he reached a ladder to a fire escape, which he promptly jumped up to and started climbing.

Once Sean broke Nicolai’s line of sight he started running after him not wanting to lose sight of him. Sean was well on his way climbing when Nicolai got there.

Nicolai pulled out a handgun like he always had on him and fired a warning shot right next to Sean. Having Diplomatic immunity in times like this was great.

“That was a warning shot,” Nicolai yelled up to him, “The next one will hit you. Now tell me why you where spying on me.”

Sean looked at Nicolai after the shot, and then pulled out his pistol. He took aim and fired at the barrel of Nicolai's handgun, assuming Nicolai didn't move before he fired. Sean kept climbing up. He wasn't afraid of things that couldn't do him any harm.

The returned fire made contact, sort of. As soon as the bullets touched his skin, the passed through into a pocket dimension. Sean felt a sting, but nothing more than that. So he kept moving, not slowed down in the least, and reached the rooftop where he kept moving.

	Nicolai saw that the bullets where not working at all and starting swearing in symkarian as he rush to get up the fire escape after him. He also made a call to Silver Sable international for a little surprise. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The time it took for Nicolai to make it to the roof was enough for Sean to get some good distance. He leaped across rooftops to keep the distance going. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	This was going to be an annoying chase but Nicolai set out running as fast as he could after him. He was also listening for the sound of his surprise that he had tried to set up so they would be running towards it. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	There’s a very good reason why you don’t mess with a fully funded Sablinova. One of the reasons was how easy they could get support like say a fully armed helicopter. Nicolai was trying to run Sean into just one of those. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The helicopter was blocking Sean's path, and he didn't have the authority to take it down. His mission was to spy on Nicolai, and abort if detected. Really, this was getting out of hand. Sean stopped and turned around, pistol tucked away for the moment. He had to see if he could bluff his way out of this.

Sean waited for Nicolai to catch up.

"Are you sure you want to take that risk?" he asked, that time staring right into Nicolai's eyes. He didn't realize how that was a really bad move.

And he didn't figure out what had happened. When Sean finally snapped back into real time, he looked panicked. "what the...? What did you just do?"

Sean just kept quiet. He'd been caught, but he wasn't going to reveal anything to Nicolai about his mission. Eventually the government would work their way into getting him back into their custody.
