at a distance you're strong, until the wind comes then you crumble and blow awayFIRST IMPRESSION: Initially, Dorcas comes off as tough, very tough, as in the type that could kick your ass with one arm tied behind her back and not break a sweat. However, once you start talking to her, you'll find that she's very warm and friendly, albeit blunt. In addition, it would quite hard not to notice her thick Derry accent upon initial chatting. ;)

you should make amends with you if only for better healthINTERACTION: Dorcas has always been a friendly person, very jovial and gregarious to her friends and family. A typical Gryffindor, she's opinionated, loud, and blunt. When she's right, she's right, and she's not afraid to say it otherwise. Auror training however, has given her a bit of a filter for her mouth, but not much. She has always preferred anger to sadness - to her, crying is a weakness that she very much likes to avoid.
MANNERISMS: Dorcas wears her emotions on her sleeve. When she's loud, she's loud, when she's angry, she's angry, and when she's happy, you'll know she's happy. Her temper has gotten her in trouble more than once. Dorcas is confident and has a bit of a superiority complex - she's absolutely determined in her convictions. To Dorcas, the world is in black or white; you're either good or bad, you're either a Death Eater or trying to fight against them. Her boldness and courage worries her friends and family, despite of her reassurances otherwise.
IN DEPTH: Dorcas considers herself to be born to the best of both worlds; her mother was a pureblood witch and her father a Muggle firefighter. Her best friend growing up was her favorite cousin, James Potter, and attended Muggle elementary school before receiving her acceptance letter from Hogwarts. Athletics had always been a big part of Dorcas's life; when she very young, her father signed up for gymnastics, swimming, and football. She picked up her love of Quidditch from her cousin James, and played her favorite sports in the summer. Her mother has always wished that her only daughter would become more ladylike, buying her dresses and skirts; this had the opposite effect, Dorcas grew to dislike formal events.
At school, Dorcas was the typical Gryffindor - proud, opinionated, and friendly. She wasn't the smartest, bookwise, but she worked hard to keep her grades above average. Ever since she was young, she had decided that she wanted to become an Auror. Her father, a firefighter, and her uncle Charlus, an Auror, was a big influence on her - she too, wanted to grow up saving and fighting for good people.
Auror training along with accepting an invitation to the underground fighting group, the Order of the Phoenix was taxing, but Dorcas wouldn't take any of it back for anything in the world. This past year has seen her pushed to her limit - emotionally and physically. Her first serious relationship ended, she killed two men, both Death Eaters. Now that she's a full-fledged Auror, she's eagerly awaiting what she can do for the Order - despite of the sudden direction the war is taking. The slaughter of her friends and the continual attacks on the Wizarding community from Voldemort and the Death Eaters have shaken her, but it makes her even more determined than ever to fight, fight, fight.
