Deckard: *stiffens, not used to being held unless it's by an enemy robot fighting back, it makes him look up for a moment, unconsciously questioning even though he /gets/ what Toudou's doing*

Toudou: *gives him a small smile.* Not used to that, are you? You'll be all right. *still has his arms loosely around Deckard.*

Saejima: We kept your Super AIs-

Hitoshi: *wry, amused, and softly, more to himself, he's not /actually/ interrupting* More like stole them.

Saejima: -and had put them in new bodies. Well...you and Deckard so far. The others will join you as they're ready.

Deckard: I-I'm sorry... *for what, he's...not sure...but he /does/ lean in a little*

Duke: ........ why? *looking between Saejima and Hitoshi*

Toudou: Shhh. Nothing to apologize over. *hugs him*

Hitoshi: Because the Board was /wrong/. You didn't deserve to be killed. *yes, killed...*

Saejima: *nods* It's all we can do for you right now. I'll have you relocated, and it will be up to all of you to keep yourselves going.

Deckard: ……………….. *buries in, finding that he…/r-really/ likes this, even if he's not thinking consciously enough to admit it to himself*

Duke: ……………. I see… *still so many questions…but his mind and heart are…numb…*

	Seajima: Easier for you to go unnoticed. I'd have preferred a bit smaller for that purpose, but your new fuel cell engines worked more efficiently at this size. Saejima: *the half hug is quick, and he lets go so Duke can get down from the table* ...I won't be. Your job will be to survive until some things can change and we can reinstate the Brave Police. I'm sorry, keeping your Super AI's and giving you new bodies was all I could do for now.
Toudou: We'll visit as often as we can, but if you're discovered you'll be destroyed...and we could face charges for stealing your Super AI's to begin with.
Hitoshi: For now you guys will have to work on taking care of each other. You'll be living away from cities, out in the mountains, it won't be such an easy going anymore.

*They'll chat, asking lots questions – how long has it been, how are Yuuta's sisters and neighbors (and everyone else), how was the service, how did they manage to save the Braves' Super AIs, how secure are the others' chips, will Toudou and everyone be all right, they /really/ didn't have to do this, they /don't/ want anyone faces legal action for their sakes…etc… - once it's safe, the two will climb up and look around*

*Toudou will answer the best he can. The AI chips are safe and hidden...the presented blank copied for destruction. Yuuta's sisters are....healing. They guys have been gone for about two weeks now.... When they get up where they can see they'll discover they're deep in the mountains, trees all around*
Toudou: I'm afraid we couldn't arrange much. Hitoshi mentioned a cabin in the area that's stood empty for a few years now. Or you can look for shelter elsewhere. Just....be safe, okay?

Toudou: I will if I can, promise. *he'll pull off the road and down a dirt trail a short way.* This is where I leave you. *he gets out and opens the back door for them* We'll meet here once a month, there's a post by the road, secure this to it if you need help sooner. *will pull a bright red, clean rag from his pocket and offer it to them.* Hitoshi drives this way to get home every couple days, he doesn't live in the city.

	They wave back. They . . . they FEEL small, and even smaller now left alone in the woods like a pair of lost children. Pushing aside misgivings, grief, and everything else that's pressing at them suddenly in the still silence, the two shift to their vehicle modes – glad to HAVE vehicle modes AND that they actually /work/ - and head up the road. *They'll find the cabin. It's kind of a nice little place. A note on the door from Hitoshi welcomes them, and says he cleaned the place and stocked it with clean water so they have plenty of fuel. It'll be a quiet evening and the next morning will be quiet too nit's afternoon when something will happen. They'll hear the door open, a large man stands in the doorway looking around with a frown on his face.*

*While there's still light out, the two explore the cabin, poking into every nook and cranny, familiarizing themselves with the whole of the place, then go outside and start exploring the immediate area, talking about what defenses – or at least "early warnings" – they might manage to set up. As it gets dark, they'll go back inside, chatting and . . . dealing, even /grieving/ until late into the night. They'll set watches, one awake and guarding while the other recharges. Come morning, they'll start exploring a little farther from home, looking for materials to start some of the traps they discussed yesterday. Afternoon, Deckard is outside, seeking some more twigs and scraps while Duke is inside starting to work. They've established a knock to warn each other. Duke hears the approach of footsteps on the porch, and when there's no knock, he's diving for cover even as the door opens.*

	Duke scrambles out the window he's able to work open, then disappears into the trees – only /then/ does he pull his badge and call Deckard, telling him to meet him at the post and /don't/ be seen…they need to relocate…at least for a while. *They'll not come across the man again...they'll manage to make a small shelter out of some large boulders that are resting against each other just right, but it's not much. They'll be on their own the rest of the week. Tomorrow, if things worked out as Toudou thought they would, they should be getting two more of their team. But tonight...they'll find themselves confronted by an angry bear. They'll fail to get around it, and while strong their punches only seem to make the bear madder. One of the BP will end up with some serious damage before they manage to finally lose to the bear.*
