Yay subject line for something to click on ^,^

Kage: *small smile* You're right. We don't deserve to be treated like nothing. We /are/ different from the machines sold in stores.

Deckard: We weren't meant to be, though. That's the thing. We're...unnatural. At least, I think that's the issue. We were an accident. Well...I was. One I'm thankful for, but still...I was never designed to be fully sentient. And now that's been passed on to all of you. A lot of people opposed that. They still do, even after we've proven that we're so much more effective as we are. I think...people are afraid of us...

Kage: ...Sadly, that is exactly it. We're big, we're strong..... and I was used to help prove what would happen if one of us decided to hurt instead of protect. *okay, it wasn't him, he was here by that point, but still...* And now the Chieftains have been made with data stolen from my Super AI... People are afraid, some probably always will be.

Deckard: ..............I know... *and it grieves him, for his team - they don't deserve that!*

Kage: I wish I had answers for you, solutions. *never mind that even if he did, Deckard wouldn't remember them to try them* All we can do is keep trying our best to show them we're people too. I wish you the best in that, for the sake of all of your team.

Deckard: I'll do all that I can. They deserve better. Shadowmaru deserves better.

Kage: All of you deserve better. I'm just glad you have someone like Little-Boss by your side. ...I wish he was old enough to have more influence on how all of you are treated. ........I wish I'd have had a chance to meet him. Maybe...maybe someday he'll end up here too. For his sake, I hope he's an old man when he does.

Deckard: *nods* I'm sure he'd love to get to meet you properly. And . . . I know he does all he can for us /now/. And he'll continue to do so for as long as he can.

*They'll walk in comfortable silence for a while. The landscape will gradually change, the air growing hot and dry. The sky will lighten, though there's no sun to speak of. As it gets hotter and brighter, the ground going from solid to sand, Kage will point out a rocky area to their left. There are caves, and people who live there. It's a good place to shelter for the day until it's cool enough to travel again.*

*They'll head to the area. People seem wary, but will welcome them easily enough. They're pointed to some caves deeper in that are large enough for them. They'll find a cave big enough for them to crawl into. It's not cool by any means, but it is a relief from the intense heat outside. They two plop down to rest, Kage digging out a couple orbs for himself, and motioning for Deckard to do the same. He'll turn one into water and the other into a sandwich.*
Kage: You don't have to know what a food tastes like to make it. Just hold the orb and think of what you want, either by name or picture it and the orb will change. I do suggest water to drink, it'll help the most in keeping you from feeling run down in the heat.

	Kage: he's friendly, but most people are retreating from the heat, and so should they Eat too. Your body behaves more like a human's than a robot's now. You need food only only to keep running, but to keep up your strength too. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Kage: We brought a lot with us, and will pick them up in the wild when we can. So long as we're careful they should last us well enough. If you're going to need your strength anywhere it's here and in the Pass. Assuming Deckard relents and reaches for another orb....he'll find a little person trying to slip one out of his bag. 	Boy: gasps and scrambles back and around a bit of a corner that leads a little deeper into the cave. Kage: ?? spots the boy as he rounds the corner, he doesn't move, though, the cave doesn't go but another couple yards that way before stopping. It's not nice to steal from people.
