He won't comprehend all of what he finds, but he'll find enough to play with, leaving all three /reeling/ by the time they're found. Even as tortured as they are, when rescuers arrive, they'll help as best they can, even if it's just to call warnings to those who might otherwise get blindsided. Once they feel safe . . . all three will finally pass out.*
