Cozi by Jennifer Hawkins was a clear standout with models Prom Dresses in garlands showing off gorgeous bikinis in a fruit salad of colours. Wayne Cooper and Leona Edmiston also revealed stunning pieces. Coopers' collection featured pink dresses, tops and trousers; a beige silk suit and a white/nude jumpsuit. Edmiston opted for black dresses matched Long Prom Dresses fingerless gloves and head scarves. Judy Coomber, Myer group general manager of fashion and accessories, flagged four main themes in the collection.

The first is about bold colours including tangerine, emerald, red, purple, Red Strapless Chiffon Short Prom Dress and gold. "We love transitioning into summer with strong colour because it gives people a new sense of optimism and enthusiasm," Coomber told AAP ahead of the show. "You can either wear them clashing, and that might be that you wear a fuchsia dress with a pair of green shoes ... or it might mean that you wear your black dress but you've got a pair of red shoes. "You Red Sweetheart Neck Beaded Ball Gown put it together in a whole variety of ways, so it's still very wearable but it gives you that lovely summer story."

Myer's range also includes Riviera-inspired ensembles, with stripes and Satin V-neck Halter Top Prom Dress painting a subtle nautical theme. This was definitely the case with the menswear, with shorts mid-thigh and trousers cropped, paired with jackets and boat shoes. In contrast, vintage is still popular, with soft florals, maxi dresses and big hats. Sequin Blue Long Long Evening Dress described these pieces as "easy-to-wear" and said consumers will be taken back to the `70s with embroidered cotton tops with "an ethnic peasant feel".
