I think firstly, you should take it. As a journalist I'm green with envy at the idea of my own column---I would be having the same dilemma, so don't start thinking that you're a bad mother for wanting something so good for you.
I don't think I'm going to be leaving the Prophet any time soon, if I want to be honest There have been Office Talks, actually---, and...well, if you'd be willing to Portkey home on the weekends, or every other week because I'm sure I could make it out there with him as well, I don't think Michael would hold a grudge.
And you'd have to bring presents, of course.
