And what happens if I don't have any say anymore? Just because you severely doubt that she would do such things doesn't mean she won't! I agree that Michael needs to grow up with a stable home life but--for God's sake Gabriel. I just--I don't understand.

If you cave to the whims of your parents over something like this, how can I sit here and believe that you won't let it happen to my son?! And what happens when his grandparents get sour with him because he's not fulfilling "familial obligations" or what have you? I'm surprised your parents so easily overlook the fact that your son isn't pureblooded when that was the cause of so much grief in the first place. And you just willingly run back to that. Michael better damn well be able to do what he wishes with his life when the time comes. I may not be able to be around him as much as I'd like, but there's so many things that I want for him and wanted for us and-- I don't want any of that to be jeopardized for him.
