Have you ever said a word over and over so many times that after a while you're not sure if it's a word or not?

That actually happened to me the other day! I kept saying 'blonde' over and over, because it sounded weird to me, and eventually it sounded like some other language.

Almost like your tongue is making funny sounds, and you don't want to say it out loud anymore in case someone looks at you strangely.

That's exactly what it's like!

I never knew anyone else had this problem.

I suppose this is why we get along so well!

[DEDALUS!] It also occurs with the names of people, if you can believe it. [/DEDALUS!]

One of many reasons, I reckon.

[Eliza]

...huh?

Many reasons? I think you're going to have to bless me with some elaboration of that statement, as I am feeling like a beached whale while Spunky eats the last of my breakfast.

[DEDALUS] Names! Like a name of a person who just happens to be growing inside of me? [/DEDALUS]

You...want me to elaborate on reasons why we get along?

[Eliza]

Oh...

Oh! Right, names. Uh.

Um.

I think I need to think about this some more.

You don't have to if you don't want.

[DEDALUS] You could! But I think I have picked my favorite, but I have been saying it to myself all day that it doesn't sound like a real name anymore, and I have to reassure myself that it is. Do you want to hear it? [DEDALUS]

Oh, it's not that I don't want to. I mean, I'd love to, but...I just don't know where to start.

[Eliza]

Of course!

:) You've started nicely, already.

[DEDALUS] Eric. EricEricEricEricEricEricEricERICE-R-I-C

It doesn't sound like a real name anymore, I've been saying it so much today. And it has four letters like JACK how cute is that?? Eric and Jack best friends for [/DEDALUS]

How about I finish this when I get home, so I can tell you in person?

[Eliza]

Eric.

Eric...Diggle.

Yeah...

Yeah! Yeah, Eric Diggle, it just...goes! I like it!

I like it much better than Bob.

Ha! Yes, and it's much better than the one name I was thinking about. I didn't even bother mentioning it, because I'm kind of annoyed with myself for thinking about it after being named 'Dedalus' my entire life.

Hah.

After all these years, the 'Greek' thing seems to have stuck with me.

And, the name is smart. Archimedes of Syracuse was a greek mathematician, physicist, engineer, inventor, and astronomer.

And I just keep making it more and more obvious that I used to be a Ravenclaw. I suppose that's something that'll stick with me for life as well.

I love that you're a Ravenclaw! I hope our son's a smart Ravenclaw like you!

I hope Eric Archimedes Diggle is a brilliant Ravenclaw who becomes an inventor or an astronomer or---WORKS IN AN ICE CREAM SHOP BECAUSE HE WILL BE AMAZING AT ANYTHING HE DOES.

Oh I need a hug.
