Plot outline: Growing Pains
Preface: Izzy is in a group training session in the Danger Room. When the session first starts, she husks into her fire form, and the process is more painful than it has ever been before. She ignores it, and goes about training like she always does. By the time the session is over, and Izzy husks back into her normal form, and is sporting a bloody nose. She goes to the medical wing where she is attended to by either Hank. After a series of tests, Hank is able to theorize that Izzy's powers are possibly going through a developmental stage, which might be why her transformations are being more painful.

Izzy continues to have problems with her powers, whether it be them sparking up at random occurences, or painful transformations followed by a nosebleed afterwards.

Part 1: The X-Men are called to deal with a disturbance in New York City (possibly by the X-Tremists holding a group of politicians hostage or something). During the fight, Izzy's powers begin to act up, and she finds herself husking at an extremely rapid rate. She tries to control it, but accidentally ends up shorting out a large portion of the city when she husks into her electric form.

As the X-ers are finishing up with the X-Tremists (or possible other group), a S.W.A.T team arrives on the scene to help with cleanup. One or two (or none, depending how the fight goes), of the X-Tremists are taken into custody. Izzy connects with the leader of the team (who is secretly running an undercover rogue Black Ops group, unknowingly funded by the government), and agrees to meet with them to do retcon.

The leader of said Black Ops group, looks into the bakgrounds of the X-ers, inculding Izzy.

Part Two: Izzy meets with the leader of the group to do retcon from the incident with the X-Tremists. Some point during the retcon, Izzy is knocked out and taken to an underground facility, where the group's team of scientists begin to perform experiments on her, mainly to see if they can get her to combine any of her forms.

Part Three: The X-ers start to take notice of Izzy's absence, and when she's not back the next day, begin to worry. They try to contact her, only to find her cellphone dead, and she doesn't answer to any comm links. Either through Cerebro (or Rachel using her telepathy), they're able to get a lock on her. They go to the facility where she's being held. The team doesn't run into any of the people running the group, but they do meet a handy arsenal of foot-soldiers. They fight their way through to the labs, where Izzy is being held.

With help, Izzy is able to break free and help the X-ers. Just at looks like they're about to win, more soldiers come in, leaving the X-Men easily outnumbered. Izzy, while still weak, wants to help her friends. The fight triggers Izzy's fifth and final- form air (more details on this form to come!). The X-Men are able to defeat the soldiers, but Izzy nearly loses control, as this form is something like she's never experienced before. Scared and panicing, the X-ers (most likely Lucas, and probably Zak and assorted others), will need to talk her back down in her normal form.

Aftermath: Izzy has spotty memory for the next couple of weeks, and seems to be unable to remember much about her captors...or the fact the one responisble for her capture was the leader of the SWAT team that helped them with the X-Tremists. When the X-Men go back to the facility where they found Izzy, they'll find it to be completely empty, and unsure of who was exactly behind Izzy's capture.
