boy's football - co-captain
i know most people have to be on the team for quite some time to be co-captain, but we could possibly say he was appointed the position due to the fact he has to do some sort of extracurricular activity for court since he's still being watched and he actually proved that he could handle the position during training the last month of the summer? if not, being a team member would be perfectly fine.
