Family fun timez!
Eddie is nervous, though why he isn't even ready to admit to himself. Ever since he came screaming through a time portal into this dimension, he's been intimidated by the size of the family that he inadvertently found himself a part of. Having come from such a small group of people himself, he couldn't help but feel that way at times. If Eddie is anything, it is under socialized when it came to a personal sort of setting. Sure he can work a room at a party, but don't ask him to talk about himself. Settling into a chair, he waits for others to show, a hand idly straightening his overly bright tie.

Anya was running late. Typical for her. Pepper had kept her late at work, not that she ever minded working late or long hours, but she did have an appointment to keep. She wondered who else would be here. If she had to admit it, it was a weird situation.

She entered the restaurant and was immediately recognized by the maitre d'. She greeted with a smile and was shown to the table.

Okay. Weird. "Hi," she said with a little hesitation.

Having expected more to show than just Anya - and to show before she managed to get there - Eddie had sat and waited patiently. Then again, he knew how he was, so he really couldn't be mad at anything that shared the same genetic stock as him. Even if none of them were his spawn, they still had the same tendencies and ticks it seems. For instance, being on time, or being late. The only reason Eddie was on time was because he was so nervous.

Looking to Anya, he offers a genuine smile and motions to a seat before he says "Hey there. Have a seat... I guess we're the only ones here right now. No idea when the others will show - if they decide to come at all." he says. "Thanks for coming."

Anya took a seat across from him. "The thing about the family is that we're all unpredictable, some more than others, so don't count anyone out until we walk out the door," Anya advised. "We all have a million and one things to do, except for maybe James, so it's hit or miss with attendance at things unless it's the mandatory once a month family dinner. Then you need a note from God notarized by St. Peter."

Nobody had given Misha any specifics, only a restaurant name and a time. He arrived late due to a paper he had to finish for school and the traffic coming into the city. All he'd have to say is 'school' to Mom and she'd instantly forgive him for tardiness. Some things were automatically given a free pass in this family - school, superhero-ing, and family business.

And bonus points for dressing appropriately!

Not as well known to the maitre'd as Anya, but still known by those who made it their business to recognize famous and royal people, His Imperial Highness was led to the table where Her Imperial Highness was already seated.

"Hey," he began, then blinked. Seated with..huh? "What the hell?"

Anya grinned. She took a perverse pleasure in seeing people off balance. Then again she was a Stark and a Romanova. Though she attributed it more to the Romanova side than the Stark side.

"Prince Dork, this is Eddie Stark, an extra-dimensional visitor. Eddie, this is his Imperial Highness Mikhail Loganovich Romanov, otherwise known as Misha and my brother."

"I.. didn't have the opportunity to be around much family my self." replies Eddie to Anya. The waitress comes and gets their drinks, his being Johnny Walker blue. Eddie then laces his hands together and grins at Anya and leans forward a bit.

"The truth of the matter is that I'm just glad you guys haven't sent me to the scrap yard for invading your airspace like that. Honestly if I had any control over.. y'know.. things," he gestures with a hand, "Then I'd have at least given you some warning." he then smirks, "Well.. giving a warning to another reality that you're about to come landing is hard, but if it were possible I would have at least tried."

Just about then, Misha walks up, and Eddie turns hazel eyes on the young man and raises a brow. "Y'know, that's exactly what I said when I found out that there's a bunch of kids who share my DNA but who aren't mine exactly. Luckily, I've decided to spare the Earth more Stark spawn."

"A bunch of kids?" He turned a querying look at Anya. "Your dad has more? I thought you were it. Because I'm not a Stark, Eddie. I'm just a shareholder." He held out his hand. "Hope you survive this experience."

Anya shook her head. "He doesn't have more save for the one on the way. I'm the only bastard Stark." She hoped. A sudden new brother or sister would not be fun. "Which I'm sure will a boy and be a hellion because the Universe is out to get me."

She looked at Eddie. "We've gotten kind of used to people from other dimensions. It's the reason why we have two more siblings. We're not used to clones showing up. We leave that for the X-Dorks." She shot her brother A Look complete with a smirk.

"Two is still a lot to me." Eddie says to Misha, and nods his head sagely as he does so. When he offeres his hand, Eddie goes to stand and shakes, a smile flashing across his face. "Edward Anthony Stark." he then says, introducing himself.

"There is a lot of people in this.. family.. and I sadly do not know them all well enough to know who belongs to what dimension." replies Eddie with a bit of a smirk to Anya. "Kind of.. overwhelming at times, y'know? There isn't much back home where I come from in the way of the Starks. I'm it." he then pauses, and asks "So.. extra dimensional siblings are more common place than miss placed clones, huh?"

Anya eyed the drink in front of Eddie, but didn't say anything. Starks and alcohol were never a good mix, even if the Stark was just a clone.

"We've had an influx of the dimensionally challenged."

She gave her brother a Look. "Not everyone. Just the universe. I know this next Starkling will be a boy because apparently I can't have too many dorky brothers."

As the brother and sister spoke back and forth, Eddie's eyes skipped from one to the other in turn. Misha's comments made him clear his throat, and he raised a brow as he said "Okay.. and so you're from the royal side of the family.." and then he looked to Anya, "And you're from my evil twin, right?"

He's just trying to get it all straight in his head, and Eddie is struck with a thought that makes him smirk as he sits back. "I should make a flow chart," he says.

"The bastard mutant side," Misha clarified. "Royal came much later after Anya's parents got married. I tried to get out of on the grounds of illegitimacy but they wouldn't buy it." He grinned at the other man. Misha was pretty easygoing until he was pushed. Eddie wasn't pushing any of his buttons so far.

"The flowchart might help but it'll be obsolete in a year. I'm betting on a Herc and a Hawkeye kid showing up from other dimensions to make Mom's secret superhero team complete."

Anya rolled her eyes. "Are you still trying to play the poor bastard me routine? Sheesh. Embrace your bastardness. I did a long time ago, but then again all Starks are bastards."

"Bite your tongue! We don't need anymore siblings!"

She shook her head. "The royal stuff comes from Mom's side. The Romanovs were restored to the throne of Russia. Our cousin is currently the tsar. Better him than Mom and us. Though Dad as Prince Consort was amusing."

This all just caused Eddie to sit back with a hand near his lips, his expression ever so amused. "Well.. Can't say I don't blame him, I saw the intel on your mother from my world.. Prolly not quite the same, but damn was she an interesting lady." he said, mildly enough.

"You'll have to, ah.. excuse me for finding all of this a bit odd. Not that it's bad." Eddie then said, "Just.. y'know.. different." He hrmed a bit, then raised a brow as he asked "Did my evil twin ever get into Extremis? Or is that something unique to me?"

Anya frowned. She didn't like her dad being called evil. Sure he was a bastard and could be a major asshole, but not evil. Anya knew what evil was up close and personal.

"Dad's retired now. He runs the company, does the married thing and tries to avoid being shot."

"Yes well we all can't have fancy mutant powers," she said and stuck her tongue out at her brother.

Eddie notices Anya's frown, and gave the girl a bit of a smile. "It's a joke." he says gently, before he sits back and starts to take his jacket off and roll his sleeve up.

"Extremis is.. was.. a virus. Tony - my DNA sample-giver - was infected with it a while back and it revolutionized how he interfaced with the suit. Extremis is what made me when he got killed.. It need a pilot, so.. it took the samples it had and got to work."

Upon rolling up his sleeve, he tilts his head to the side and along his inner forearm, three little black ports open up at his mental command. "Seeing as we're in public, I'm not going to do the whole process, but basically the Extremis process attaches my brain directly into my suit, allowing me better reaction times. At this point I'm doing about what Tony would have done if he were twenty-five and had Extremis.. I think he got infected when he was about thirty five though.. died a couple years afterwards taking a hit meant for Captain America.."

"A smart virus took samples and grew its own pilot?" Misha had it broken down into small bits and it sounded dicey to him. "I'm sorry, that sounds pretty scary."

"It's possible," Anya said thoughtfully. "I mean it would depend on the situation and how the AI of the suit interpreted it. And of course having the cloning facilities handy. Cause you sure can't clone someone inside the suit. I would love to see the code of the virus."

Having a suit directly interfaced with your brain wasn't a big deal. Anya's was directly wired to hers and her nervous system through the nanites. While Misha's had good reaction times, better than older versions, it would never be as good as Anya's unless of course they put nanites in him.

"Well, the Extremis that I have isn't how it was originally written." explained Eddie. "Tony rewrote it before infecting himself and removed some major issues with the original build. It also included some additional powers that were pretty freaky, and along the way he added some other features.. like the under armor."

He offered Anya an honest grin as he said "I'll have to share it with you sometimes. It also changed the way my brain works.. I can use it like computer storage, which is all at once handy and annoying."

It seems that Misha's trepidation wasn't really needed. Eddie gave the guy a rather amused expression and said "I never had the pleasure of meeting the guy, but I read the reports that Tony left in the system about him. Seems like they came to blows but Tony ultimately respected and liked him. Even if he left hairballs in the bathroom. That was a bit of TMI if you asked me, but.. no one asked me."

Looking to Anya, he then raised a brow and said "Well, I'm glad that weirdos falling out of time and space are common enough that you guys aren't having any weird issues accepting it. I was.. worried that the truth was too weird."

"Dad's the best," Misha said simply. "And nobody complains about hairballs. I don't remember hearing about any fights between my dad and Anya's. As far as I know they get along just fine. They certainly managed to make sure she and I had plenty of visiting time when Mom wasn't around."

"I've been thinking that I'll probably settle in Seattle." replied Eddie as he laced the fingers of both of his hands together and placed them on the table before him. "Once I've got a good base and my home AI going, I'm going to probably look for some other misplaced souls and try and form a team. Obviously I shouldn't stay around here.. No offense - I wanna get to know you guys better - but from a logistical standpoint too many suits in one area is a an over concentration of force."

"None taken. It's too easy to move around to worry about distances. The West Coast has just the one team so far and they're special. The other misplaced arrivals showed up with what they were wearing or holding at the time they were transported. Did you just arrive with the armor?"

"Interesting. That's going to take quite a bit of capital. Do you have plans for how you're going to get the financial requirements to start a base and a new team and purchase hardware?" Anya knew quite well how much it cost to run a team and a base. Renovating the Hydrobase had been a pretty penny not to mention overhauling the systems at the Defenders Compound.

Interested, yes she was.

"I haven't gotten that far. I'll figure it out." replied Eddie to Anya before he looks to Misha and nodded. "Yup. Got my suit, but thankfully I don't even really need that since I've got the Extremis. It'd just make flying a hell of a lot more difficult at this point."

Back to Anya, he said "I've got a lot to consider. I don't want to try and edge into my not-evil twin's business - That's his deal and I have an idea he'd just gets pissed off anyways if I even thought about it. Considering that I'm not all that bad of a business man myself, I figure that I'll be able to come up with the right answers soon enough."

"I've got a few ideas, but it will require some R and D on my part." replied Eddie, seriously. "I've got to take a look at the molecular make-up of stuff around here. It looks the same, but I'm willing to bet that the compounds used and the processes are different from what I'm accustomed. I'm pretty sure that once I can develop some of my own processes that I'll be able to make enough capital." he paused, then said "I'm going to need help with that though. I'm probably going to need a heads up as to who is worth selling to and who isn't. Don't want things to get into the wrong hands.. and I'm done making weapons. No more of that."

"I don't doubt that he's quite aware of all my motions right now, and probably has me monitored in some way that I have yet to fathom. That's what I'd do anyways, at least until I figured out if the clone or whoever he was wasn't a threat to myself and my family. The fact that you were allowed to meet me here tonight speaks volumes. It means I made the cut." He sat back now, finally paying attention to his Johnny and reached out and swished the mostly melted ice around before he took a swig.

"Well.. to answer that, I would have to know what you guys have. I would think that we probably have relatively comparable systems." replied Eddie. "You might be stronger, I might be faster for example.. but without seeing what you guys have on board, I really can't easily compare it to my suit."
