Ultimately, he's not that surprised. Outside the bedroom, she's such a perfectionist and control freak. Its not a bad thing - but in the pursuit of perfection, everything must be just so. That she appreciates a chance to let go and let someone else run things, while still pushing herself to her personal standards makes absolute sense - and he's happy to reinforce it.
"I'm glad. We can do this as much, as often as you want. I've been lending you speed... about... five seconds have passed outside this bedroom." he comments, by way of demonstrating that they really do have all the time they want.
The movement of his tip against her throat gets a deep groan, and his head lolls back again, the petting through her hair getting firmer. She speeds up now, after all the teasing, she could probably get him off quickly... or go back to teasing just as easily.
