He continues to run his fingers through her pubic hairs, then down further, trying to find her clitoral hood while he nuzzles at her neck, assessing the board in the meanwhile. Rather than responding to her defense, he shifts his offense to another part of the board. Perhaps normally not the most efficient move, but he's trying to divide her attention amidst the distractions. After all, losing track of even one piece could cost her - and he's depending on it, since otherwise, she's easily the better player.
