He takes advantage, at last, pouncing on her queen, and setting his real master plan in motion when he has the advantage, not going for the checkmate right away, trying to use the piece advantage towards a crushing victory, advancing all of his remaining pawns to try and expand the point valuation difference - figuring once she knows she's going to lose anyway, she might just let him do so at this point, rather than taking the pawns to take them.
