Reality Orientation.
Tess Holt, Miss Terrific, Unofficial Chairgirl of the JSA, knocked on the door of the guest room first thing in the morning. Steven had seemed like a good person, even if the chaos of his arrival, but she needed to get a feel for him.

	The door opens almost as soon as the first knock ends. By then, he's dressed, cleaned up, and at the door. Granted, most of the team has seen him wearing a shower curtain... but better to try and have some decorum now. "Good morning, Miss Holt." (Reply to this)(Thread)

He nods. "This is awkward. It hasn't been going on so long as to be /too/ weird, yet. But there's... well, more people than I'm used to. The Speedsters were usually distinct in my lifetimes. Everyone else was kind of... shadows, background and reflections. Slowing my perceptions down isn't too tough, but getting used to so many completely developed people... and all of your objects are actually solid. Its weird. I keep having to remember to take my clothes with me and not vibrate out of them."

"Yes, please try to keep remembering that. Nice as the view was for Cat and I before, it really would be best." Tess manages a small smile before reverting to her usual businesslike ways. "Do you want to try staying with family until you're more used to the world as it is, or do you want to make things work here at the JSA? I'll be honest, we can get a lot of use out of someone with your talents here."

She nods. "That sounds like a reasonable plan." A pause, and then she decides to allow a personal analogy. "I know if my brother Terry just showed up one day, Dad'd be overjoyed, but he'd be in a lot of shock." Straightening back up. "In all likelihood, you won't just be giving them space, but making them proud, too. There's a lot of good to do, and we'll be glad having you." She extends a hand to shake.

I picked up computer skills here and there from Bart, the twins... lots of scientists in my family, so education was usually important in most lifetimes, but some specialties are out of date, or piecemeal."
