Tess worried sometimes. She was the chairgirl, the Responsible One. She'd talked Jacob into being around more. She sometimes worried about whether he felt pressed into the relationship when she asked him out. Was it okay to be assertive when going after what she personally wanted instead of just what was good for the team?

..she'd just assume it was until she heard otherwise from Jacob.

"Dinner was great," she told him as they walked back to the Brownstone, a proprietary arm around his waist.

He smiled. He still had trouble believing that Tess Holt wanted to be with him. Him! They'd been friends since they were children. Heck, even then he may have had a bit of unrequited puppy love. At least..he had thought it was unrequited. And now she was his girlfriend.

God it didn't feel real at times. "Yeah, yes it was." His arm was around her shoulders lightly, but companionably.

And proceed to take her dress off and fold it over the back of a chair, leaving her standing in front of him with nothing but a few pieces of rough silk covering her coffee-colored skin. 	Tess has continually gently encouraged Jacob to eat healthier, exercise more, etc., being an extremely fit and health-conscious person herself, but when she touches his chest and leans up to pull him into a kiss, there's no indication that she minds the look of things at all.
