delving deeper.

[APPEARANCE]
The first thing that someone notices about Rhiannon is that she is always smiling. Possessing a wide, expressive face that is cute before pretty and definitely childish still in nature (making her at times look 13 instead of 15), her cheeks are almost constantly flushed from laughing or moving about. Not tall, but not short either, Rhiannon is stronger than she looks, the product of growing up on a farm, but she definitely has a soft quality too her than she is not going to grow out off. The blonde hair that is almost constantly in pigtails and big brown eyes don't help age her (it even earn her the nickname of "bunny" when she was 5, which she thinks is sweet...still). The only thing that doesn't deage are her boobs, but she usually dresses to hide them, rather than emphasize them. Clothing style, Rhiannon's things aren't the nicest, but she likes them well enough, taking care of them, though they're often a bit askew from her tendency to move about more than she meant too.

[PERSONALITY]
Rhiannon is bubbly, but she's definitely grounded at the same time. Born and raised out of loving parents and siblings who cared and cared about her, she's got a strict sense of what's right and wrong and a large part of that is following the golden rule and treating others the way she wants to be treated. She's not the most worldly biscuit in the bin, but she tries to be nice to everyone and tries to do her fair share in life, working hard to do the right thing the first time, and if not the first time, then the next time as well. Having been born and raised on an farm, Rhiannon's first instinct is to get her hands dirty and to root about in things and to just keep going at it until things are done. She's not afraid of hardwork (in fact she kind of likes it, finding it to be relaxing even) and she loves to be outside. When she's got a story to tell, she tells it boldly never leaving out a detail (her face gives her away, making her the world's..or at least Hogwart's...worst's liar) and she laughs and pauses and usually she gives up and jumps to the end halfway through. She likes listening to other people's stories though, finding them to be fascinating and she tries not to ask too many questions, but she does try to make them know that she cares, because she does. She's a sweet girl, though when they say hick and bumpkin, they're definitely describing her (however, she doesn't really mind, so long as they're not trying to be mean, right?).

Schoolwise, Rhiannon would much rather be outdoors doing something (not sport, she's not a sport sort of girl), than indoor sitting in a classroom, but she knows that she's lucky to attending Hogwarts at all given where she comes from where she comes from, so she tries. There's a lot she just doesn't understand, and she always feels a bit awkward about her peers who grew up in the city or in the suburbs and just don't understand how things are "back home". She loves animals and wants to become a vetrinarian, so that she can specialise to work on carry for injured livestock, and she likes to make things grow. A lot of the time, she likes to by herself sitting outside, regardless of the weather (especially if she's had a hard day and someone's tried to or has actually succeeded in making her cry). Her skin is thickening as she gets older and used to be about people who just don't know how to play nice and fair all the time (or well, if they do, they just don't), but it still can be pretty thin at times, making life pretty hard on her. She's still very much a little girl at times, down to the sketching of hearts in the margins of her notes.

[LIKES]
    - Animals. Having grown up about them, there's nothing that Rhiannon loves more than working with animals and having them near her. At times, she understands them a lot more than she understands people.
    - Cooking. Her mum taught her how to cook when she was little and she likes making everything from breadpudding to beefpie. It's a nice way of making people feel more at home.
    - Maths. Call it something that is really a bit geekish, but she just likes how they all make sense, and how they all just align, plus everything goes together that way.
    - The outdoors, camping, carrots, plums, Fleetwood Mac, dancing (even though she's an awful dancer), listening to people, her friends, watching sport, rugby, tea parties, long grass.

[DISLIKES]
    - Cities. A country girl to the core, Rhiannon finds them crowded and bothersome. She likes notion of the world being a big and quiet and clean place and cities don't feel like any of that sort of place. They're too tight and moving too fast. They make her feel like she's going to get trampled or something.
    - Smokers. While the smell of pipe tobacco instantly reminds her of her grandfather and his stories, she really doesn't think that there is any reason for those who aren't Old Welsh men to be smoking. It's kind of gross.
    - Denis the Menace, people who are mean for no reason, German (it's hard!), cricket, pigs (they're mean...but they try), Demelza Robins (that girl...gah!), litterers, peanut butter.

[DEFINING CHARACTERISTICS]
Rhiannon is the one who is going a million miles an hour (or she would be if she could) and it's all purely due to her own internal energy. Back home, she's more mellow, because there's room to stretch her legs, for her to get out and about and just be free, but in the halls of Hogwarts? That's a bit harder. But the girl with the patchwork blanket on her bed and who makes friendship bracelets out of pretty embrodiary floss for her friends is Rhiannon, because she enjoys show people that she cares, honest to goodness, warm fuzzies, hearts and stars cares about them. Her little heart does get broken over really stupid things as well, if only because she's sometimes a lot younger than she is, but she's sweet and she tries.

[HISTORY]
Rhiannon Isobel Bennett (called Rhia or Ann or Rhi or sometimes Bunny McGee) is the oldest of five children (three boys, two girls) born to her parents (Rhys and Julia Bennett) and she was raised on the family farm in rural Worcestershire (particularly Malvern Hills), amongst the rain and sun and sheep and pears (they've grown pears for generations). A farm girl by heart and soul, she's used to trodding about with a thick layer of mud on her boots and in a slicker that is both unfashionable, bright yellow and very well made. Better yet, she loves it. A true appreciator of the great outdoors and simple means (and her family to boot), she was definitely content in her small world, not seeing it as small, excelling in the local primary school that she attended and that her younger siblings attended after her. As a kid, she got into a few scuffles, bickering with her siblings like any normal child and learning the value of hardwork, because it was part of her responsibility as a member of the family to pitch in and do her equal share making sure that everything works and was thriving. She learned to be handy, and became a bit of a homebody, liking to take of her siblings as a surrogate parent from time to time (her mother, who was a nurse oftened looked to her daughter to help out when she could). It was this hardwork in school (she's a smart girl, but she works hard more than anything else to go far), that got her her scholarship to Hogwarts College, something that her parents encouraged her to take, telling her that if she didn't go she would always regret it. Not wanting to regret it and knowing that her parents have been right about pretty much everything else in her life, she set out in the scary large world and was confronted with everything. She'd never lived outside of the nest, the most time spending outside of the country and the farm having been at most an overnight trip and it tooks it toll on her, stressing her out greatly, and she saw the entire place as being very much beyond her and far too glamourous. Yet she was (and is) determined to make the most of it, and keep going on strong, so she tries, keep going on, because well, that's what Bennetts do, they try.

[SOCIAL STATUS]
The Bennett family have neither wealth nor fame nor much in the way of social stature and this is something that never has really bothered them. Down to earth, toil in the soil sort of folk as they have for generations, they are stably and marginally middle class, living in some ways better than their city "cousins" if only due to the fact that so much of their lifestyle is done themselves. Smalltown, small-scale, homecooked and warm smiles people, the Bennett' farm (which has been farming pears and rabbits in Worcestershire since 1786) is always welcome to those who wish to say hello

[INSIDE SCOOP]
    - Sometimes, when she's feeling particularly homesick, Rhiannon goes out and talks to the horses that are being boarded at the school. She knows it's weird and she'd rather die than tell anyone, but she just likes the smell of the animals and they make feel better about being away from home for so long.
    - She loves to knit. She even makes her own socks (part of her thrifty inherited nature).
    - Let's not ask her about her embarassing, like ohemgeedoodlesinthemargin accidentally turned it blushed and stammering embarassing crush on Zacharias Smith. She'll turn vivid pink.
    - Her little brother Ioan once cut off a big chunk of her hair. She swore that she was going to kill him and feed him to the sheep in bits. It's the meanest thing she's ever said about anyone. Ever.
