Izuna Uchiha [Part 02]
Background History:

When you have a perfectly good heir to the family fortune that is to be molded since birth into the perfect replica of what the company needs, there is no need for a second or a backup heir at all. It wouldn't have made a difference if he was born the next year after, he wouldn't have been accepted into the family. But being born almost five years after Madara had been born, it was safe enough to say that Izuna was an unwanted slip up. From the day he had joined the Uchiha family, he was never treated the same as the eldest, palmed off to the nanny as quickly as possible to be raised instead of being in the warm arms of a caring mother like he should have been. Somehow, it felt like they weren't even treating him the same. Not the best way to start your life off.

All of that didn't matter in the end because he had someone in his life that he cherished more than anything else. His brother. Izuna grew up to admire Madara. Not only was he his big brother but his best friend, his tormentor, his role model, his protector. He was there to laugh at him when he fell flat on his face and then come and give him a big hug and tell not to cry because only babies cry. Together they launched attacks against the hired help (on Madara's lead of course) and wait for the consequences of their actions, a little ray of hope that their father might come and scold them. Nothing. They were both in the same boat together. Parental praise and punishment still didn't come if you were the one chosen to succeed the family. The older they got, the more abundantly painful the truth was.

There was plenty of things that Izuna could have done to stand out and try and gain the attention of their parents, show them that he was just as useful to them. His home schooling started at a young age but it was nowhere close to the level that his brother was put through, looking more towards general studies than practicing business. Izuna quickly discovered that he really enjoyed learning, looking forward to whatever subject they wanted to teach him. This could have been the area that he stood out and shone brightly in to let them know that he was able to do anything Madara could do, but he intentionally dulled himself down, made it seem average. Coming in second best to him wasn't bad at all. He wasn't trying to live in his shadow, beat him and prove he was smarter on any level, and never did he felt like he was being kept down by him. Madara was Madara. Izuna was Izuna. He would have done anything to make Madara look good. Life was pretty fun, until they moved.

Izuna couldn't understand why they were splitting them apart. As it was put to him, Madara had to go and learn to be what he was primped to be, learning all the advance side of the business world that home schooling wasn't going to teach him while Izuna was insignificant. But still, he wanted to go with him. So he was in high school and Izuna was still at the junior level. Surely there was a school close by that they could send him to. Nothing he could say would make a difference, Madara was gone and he was left there by himself being home schooled in a foreign country where they thought it was insignificant to teach him English prior to making the decision to up and leave.
