Tobirama Senju [Part Three]
He had been raised under the philosophy that men were tough, didn't cry at sissy bullshit and certainly didn't let emotions get the better of them. So locked away in the small cramped space of an airplane bathroom, Tobirama wept. He cried for his mother, who was so heartbroken over the split. He cried for his brother who now had to take on duties he wasn't responsible for. And most of all he cried because his family, the most stable thing he knew, had fallen apart. When he was done crying he hurriedly turned the water on to wash his face, to rub at it until it was red to excuse the puffiness of his eyes, but that's when he heard it. It was just tap water, and the voice was soft, in a tone that wasn't distinctively male or female, but he heard it. And it said that everything was going to be alright. Now any normal child would have kept this to himself, hidden it and never said a word, but Tobirama couldn't tell Hashirama fast enough, even though his face was red and it was clear he'd been crying, the smile on his face as he ran through the aisles of the plane to return to his seat was unmistakable.

From that point on, Tobirama's life was drastically different. He and his brother both moved from country to country, spending time with both parents as per split custody dictated. It became harder for Tobirama to make friends, and though it was a critical developmental stage in his life, he found happiness by running through the woods with his brother, filling buckets of water from the school's water fountain and taking it to open streams to "liberate it," and laying out in their backyard and talking to the trees with his brother. Though it was clear he was something of a lonely kid, he didn't feel that way. He felt safe with his older brother, since that was the only person he could ever talk to about the voices of the different types of water. He didn't need friends. Something of a loner, he did excel in school and always did above average work. He enjoyed math, and science, and wasn't necessarily very good at being creative. He liked logic, thinks that made perfect sense and existed in harmony. It reminded him of nature, how everything was made to work with each other, every creature in the forest depended on one another. His school years were relatively uneventful. He didn't have any friends, any social groups, not even a love interest.

His dream was marine biology, but the science fair his senior year changed that. It was a simple enough project, to make a simple robot out of house hold materials. He'd always had something of an interest in technology and how things worked, and this was his first chance to really break something down and see how it all worked. Though marine biology had been his goal, Tobirama quickly found a true passion. While his brother persued his own dreams, Tobirama went for his, finishing up high school and picking out the school he wanted. It was an American one, to his mother's many sighs, but it was up north, away from where their father was. Also at this time, Hashirama had fallen hard for his first girlfriend, and once Tobirama heard of it, they were already engaged. He was happy for his older brother mostly, and though he had something of a jaded opinion on marriage from watching what had happened between his mother and father, Tobirama really believed it would work out for his brother.
