SHISUI APP [part two]
Background History: In a rural and poor fishing village, it's hard to imagine any sort of extraordinary intelligence would develop. From humble beginnings come humble ends, or something along those lines. Shisui is a classic case of someone who was born into the wrong world, born at the wrong time. From his first months on this Earth, his mother noticed little things about him that seemed to be out of sorts. Most of which she ignored, Shisui was her first and only child, and she of course didn't have experience on the matter. But even poor kids liked to play, so when Shisui was old enough to go to the small local school, his mother finally noticed something she couldn't ignore. Shisui didn't make friends. He didn't even try. Even though conditions were poor, friendships were imperative to finding some sort of joy, right? But that was the thing, Shisui never seemed to mind not having any mates to play with. His first years of public school were humbly spent in the back of classrooms, or in that comfortable little nook right by the water fountain outside, where nobody would ever think to look twice at him.
That was always how he preferred it, quietly studying what little books were available to him in his little corner. Shisui had a desire to learn more about the world, about the ocean, about the fish his father brought home. Where as most kids would be more interested in playing, even at age four, Shisui was more interested in finding ways to make his father's fishing business more efficient, and thus more lucrative. Which his father loved, convinced one day his son would be the best fisherman this village ever had. So he had aspired to become that, and further isolated himself from his peers, in his third year of school and still sticking to his corner of the small playground, alone of course.
Or at least, he had thought he would be alone. At the start of his third year, he was met with an unfamiliar face of a much younger kid huddling in his prized corner. His initial reaction was to ask them to leave, but why? Going to sit next to the kid, he stated it was his corner but he would be willing to share, because there was plenty of room, and well, he would just quietly sit and study. And the new kid seemed to accept this, and for a whole month they sat in the silence of each other's company, content to simply do the nod and acknowledge before minding their own business each day before school, during recess, and after school. And it was a harmonious relationship until of course that one fateful day when the poor kid was without a lunch at all, maybe a hard week on his parents, or maybe just a harder life than what Shisui had. For the first time since the initial meeting, Shisui spoke up to the younger kid, offering him his entire lunch. When the offer was refused, he offered less and less until it was exactly half, then the kid agreed. For the rest of the week he shared exactly half of his lunch, of course giving the kid the larger portion. At the end of the week, it seemed he made a friend, and the kid introduced himself as Itachi. From that day on, Itachi became his little corner buddy.
