Background History:

Inuzuka Kiba grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah with his mother and older sister on the family's kennel which is mother ran. He never knew his father, as the man had left home before Kiba had even drawn his first breath. Predominantly influenced by his mother, Tsume, Kiba developed something of a wild streak particularly when it came to cutting class and getting into general mischief. Thus he ended up spending more time in brawls than in the classroom. As the only male in his family, he rarely received discipline for his miscreant behavior. On the contrary, his mother encouraged his actions, for the most part. She trusted her son when he explained his reasons behind the fights. She did not want to hamper his development into the great man she felt he would be someday. She understood her son's hyperactive behavior and thought that he just needed more outlets for all of that pent up energy. She only punished him for his grand infractions, like leaving up the toilet seat.

This support strengthened Kiba's bond with his mother. When she suggested he take boxing lessons, instead of getting into fights with his fellow students, he eagerly welcomed the change in his daily routine.The sport was well suited for his endless energy and overzealous attitude. The pre-teen also enjoyed the discipline boxing required. He learned to process his anger constructively and work towards a goal. It also helped that he bulked up after a growth spurt that had him towering over other children that were years ahead of him.

Though he enjoyed boxing, Kiba also developed an interest in music. He spent most workouts with his headphones on and also while in school. He would pull his hood over his head and listen through out the lesson. Eventually Kiba start tapping his pencils like mini drumsticks and thoroughly annoying his classmates and teachers. Finally fed up with his behavior, one of his teachers sent the boxer/drummer wannabe to the office.

Three years after he started boxing, Kiba’s attention had officially waned and he finally approached his coach about his feelings. His coach suggested he take up another sport. To which the twelve-year old Inuzuka questioned. “Is music a sport?” Understandably, his coach corrected the misguided kid and promptly invited Kiba to a live music performance. Excited as usual, especially about new things, the pre-teen happily accompanied his coach. This would be a major turning point in Kiba's life.
