Re: Inuzuka Kiba Part 7
Third Person

The day after hopping off a bus with Akamaru, Kiba pulled out his finest pair of blue jeans and nice pullover shirt that could pass as new. He wanted to make a good impression on any potential employers so he cleaned up at the local public gym before taking Akamaru out to breakfast. He found a small diner that offered outdoor seating and ordered a plate of beef sausage for his buddy and sausage with eggs for himself. Not long after his coffee and food arrived, a man in his late fifties joined him asking if he needed a place to stay.

Akamaru sat up cocking his head curiously at the man before resuming his meal. Kiba grinned broadly wondering if he gave off the little lost lamb look or maybe it’s his backpack. It did seem odd to have a random man ask him if he need a room. Kiba's bright eyes narrowed a bit, wondering if the old man were making a pass at him. He scrunched up his nose before he could stop himself.

“No, son don’t get the wrong idea, I’m not that way,” the nearly balding man offered face blushing. “I own a Bed and Breakfast not far from here, not much to look at.” He continued flustered. “My names Baltimore Henderson, I see you have a dog and most of the places around here won’t take him. My price is reasonable and I can really use the company.”

“Well thanks! We really need a place for a few days.” Kiba exclaimed rather loudly and then ruffled the thick fur on Akamaru’s back. "Maru appreciates it too you really saved our butts.”

The owner wheezed out, “Oh it’s a big help to me, so thank you.”

It turned out that the old man owned a make shift bed and breakfast that was a one hundred year old colonial building with a sagging wooden porch and peeling paint. It certainly wasn't what people usually expected when they heard the term B&B. It had a bit of a musky smell, the made Kiba and Akamaru scrunch up their nose the second they climbed out of the owner’s truck.

They took a quick look around ending up in the backyard after the owner showed Kiba his room. The owner pointed out the pin his dog once used.

“Your dog is welcome to take up a spot in there,” he sniffed. Kiba blinked in surprise. He never let Akamaru sleep outside if he was inside. Somehow it just seemed wrong. “Uh… you ok?” Kiba didn’t know how to say what was on his mind especially with the man looking so upset.
