Background History:
As a young boy, Neji was a prodigy of sorts. He was incredibly smart and thrived where many people his age (and sometimes, years older) had failed. However, Neji's intelligence and talent were constantly overlooked by his prestigious and uptight family.

Neji spent countless hours alone; reading, writing, and maintaining his physical fitness. At the young age of sixteen, he was asked to give a speech in front of hundreds of his peers and important figures of authority. The speech was supposed to consist of how family did its part in helping Neji to achieve straight A's since the third grade (which is when students started to receive letter grades).

Not a single member of his family came to listen to his speech.

Neji pretended not to let that fact bother him, but it did. Although many of his classmates labeled him as antisocial and unfriendly, he truly craved attention from anyone that was willing to give it to him. He hid that desire behind a mask of indifference, an aloof attitude that had taken him straight to the top up until he dropped out of school two weeks later.

With nothing more than three hundred dollars that he had saved from tutoring jocks, Neji made his way to Reno, Nevada. His original destination had been Las Vegas but he didn't have enough money for that ticket...
