Personality: To most people, Suigetsu is an annoying pain in the ass. While not exactly the chatty Cathy type, Suigetsu has no problems in speaking his mind, and often does so without second thought. He doesn’t bother with nice things like ‘tact’ or ‘politeness’ cause as far as he’s concerned, there’s little point in sugar coating anything. Why should he hold someone’s hand through their tough times when he can just kick them in the rear and boot them out of it? And while he does try to be nice to people who are nice to him, it’s a bit hard to know what Suigetsu is going to do or say to anyone. He’s a bit unpredictable because even though he straight up tells you what he thinks of you or why he’s doing this or that, he tends to change his mind and keeps his more important thoughts to himself. And truth be told, Suigetsu likes to re-evaluate opinions and thoughts often, so while one thing was honest a few days ago, it probably won’t hold water today. While his core values of honesty, being true to himself, and family hardly ever change, many superficial things about him do, which tend to make people find him a bit shifty and untrustworthy. He has a hard time showing his emotions except for things like annoyance and being pleased with something, so when he meets someone it’s often hard to tell if he’s joking around with them or really means the malicious things he says sometimes. Detached is what some people have called him, and it’s pretty true. If you’re not interesting or useful, Suigetsu won’t bother with you. And he has some pretty strange requirements for someone being interesting. Also, though he usually seems like the kind of guy who doesn’t get ruffled easily, Suigetsu has a short temper. He’s just better at hiding it. For all his talk, Suigetsu is pretty subtle. It doesn’t take a lot to make him mad, but it does take a lot to break his cool. Which is a bit different from his usual going out to finish fights, because if you really piss Suigetsu off, nothing can save you, whereas if he’s just looking to start something, he can be talked out of it pretty easily. Suigetsu is an aggressive, go getter type person by nature, and he tends to stubbornly stick to his goals even when reasoning suggests he do otherwise. He doesn’t like taking orders, and the only reason he will agree to things that make more work for him is if he feels things are being played on his terms or that his needs will be met rather quickly in the future. Which is pretty selfish, and makes him a bit hard to work with. Not to mention he tends to be contrary just to rile people up. People are at their most interesting when they’re angry since they tend to show who they really are. Plus it’s fun. He’s pretty abrasive, and definitely an acquired taste.
