What would you say are the trademarks of my writing? What themes or quirks or turns of phrase have you noticed? What is it that makes a story by me -- well, a story by me?
AND Certain characters of mine have been dosed with a potion that makes them tell only the truth... Ask them any question that you want, and he or she will answer truthfully! Go on, do it. I haven't been active enough lately.

I really shouldn't be allowed on elouai because I spend far too much time there. also, imageshack has a multi-image uploader which is really really great because I'm too lazy to have a photobucket. but ANYWAY. I decided that I would make dolls of my different ps characters. (and just now I realised I could've done sl too but I am too lazy.) they're not all exactly perfect, but I did the best I could with what was given. I couldn't do one for anthony, though, because they didn't have any wavy/curly blonde hair for boys-- or any really wavy/curly hair for boys period. but whatever. he's used to being left out, my poor little thing.
follow the (obviously) fake cuts.

Sitting here with a on a laptop on my (three guesses!) lap, I'm feeling very creative. And I was thinking about doing a scene when I realised, shock gasp, that I haven't used tom at all yet. this needs to be remedied. I have very little feel for him at all. he's a rockstar-in-training and a secret poet. he's protective and going a bit stir crazy. I need to use him or he's going to disappear entirely. I was thinking that maybe I'd use him more if he had his little sister, Laura, in the game. I know there are already siblings in the game, but Tom really does love his sister very much-- when she's not getting on his nerves, which is a lot of the time, but still. So the point of this post, surprisingly, was for me to beg for a Laura Wingfield. no one has to take her up, but if you've read 'the glass menagerie' and are interested, we should plot. :]

on lydia and her love/hate relationship with oma

On Lydia and her love/hate relationship with her grandmother: Mrs. Baum the elder lived in Germany until her first grandchild was born about 20 years ago. Her husband, and American soldier, had brought up all the Baum children as American, and they promptly left Germany as soon as they went to college. Lydia's father, the eldest Baum child, was no exception. He took his money and moved to New York to raise his family, barely seeing his German mother, because she lived in a far away city called Pierian Springs. Lydia didn't really mind that she saw her "Oma" only twice a year, on Thanksgiving and Christmas-- that is, until her parents decided that she was to move in with her. Her older brother and sister were in college and the other siblings in middle school, leaving Lydia in the middle. The Baums decided that she was far too attached to her immediate family and needed a change, so off to Oma's she went. Often, Lydia thinks that she's been sent to her grandmother's house to "watch her die." She's obviously elderly, but she can also be sickly and frail. Many days, she doesn't get out of her pink nightgown. Lydia makes her breakfast every morning and reminds her to take her medication. Lydia hates having to watch over her, acting like a parent to her grandparent. She feels as if she has no one to go to with her problems, because Oma's so out of touch with teenagers. Other days, the more common ones, Lydia loves Oma. She's allowed all the freedom she wants, sometimes so much she has no idea what to do with it. Oma lets friends stay over on school nights and Lydia can watch television and talk to flowers all evening if she so wishes. When Mrs. Baum and Lydia are the only two in the house, Oma asks Lydia speak to her in German; this allows Lydia to become more fluent, and she feels as if she has a little secret language with her grandmother than not everyone can understand Oma has also become attached to Lydia's boyfriend, because she loves how sweet he is to her and how dorky they can be together. He tends to keep her busy, too, so Mrs. Baum can have a moment's rest.

What Were You Thinking?

I probably shouldn't update as much as I do. I blame micha for influencing me to get a scribbld account. This next meme is called 'What Were You Thinkin'?'. I found it on The Daily Meme, because I like to surf it. The question is: What were you thinking when you first met your current main squeeze (husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend, significant other, sex partner, WHATEVER!). I can only do this for characters with a significant other, obviously, so here they are.

How Many of Me?

I went on howmanyofme.com because I had nothing better to do. This site lists the number of people in America with a name the same as the one you type in. I figured it would be fun to find out how many people share names with my characters. Louisa Alcott- 0 Lydia Baum- 8 Markie Clemens- 0. As if she didn't have a big enough head. Ralph (Waldo) Emerson- 56 Nathaniel Hawthorne- 7 Romeo Montague- 1 John Proctor- 599. Wow. They'd better no do anything horrendous that will make people hate the name, because that would tear John up. Anthony Trollope- 1. As if Anthony didn't feel isolated enough.

I'm a bad person, but you all know that. I'm going to steal this letter-writing meme directly from micha ( lemonadeandgin) because I need something to do. Here's what you give me:1) one of my characters 2) one of your characters Here's what I'll give you:1) a letter of some sort written to that character You can choose a love letter, an advice with how to deal with another person, a venting letter about another character, whatever!

on this website, I found 'the sunday seven' meme. it's a question posted every sunday to which you have to give seven answers. I'll try and do it once as week for my characters if I remember. this week's question: Name your seven favorite kinds of flowers.my boys are going to skip out of this one, because they fear for their masculinity.
