Nim has been amazed at how quickly things has changed. She'd gone in hardly any time at all from a simple small-town girl to a Princess of Atlantis. She's always known, or at least suspected, who her birth father was. But Dan Smallwood was her dad, as far as she was concerned.
The sea-foam colored dressed they'd given her to wear was probably the finest and probably most expensive thing she'd ever wore. It made her feel more self-conscious of her piercings.
"Oh, um, sure," she said. "Come on in."
There was that too. A sister. She'd been used to being an only child all her life. Now, she had a sister.
It was all changing so quickly.
