James prefers to dress casually in jeans and t-shirts when he can, though he does clean up nicely when it comes time to do so for a dance or other dressy occasion.

DETAILED PERSONALITY: James has a generally easygoing personality most of the time. He has dark and brooding tendencies when there’s something bothering him, but for the most part he is friendly and outgoing. He’s certainly not a loner and he prefers the company of others to being on his own. If he’s shunning their companionship, it’s usually a sign that something is wrong.
He has always been more or less a responsible guy with a good head on his shoulders and a good sense of honor in his heart. James likes to go out and have fun. He likes to flirt with the girls. He’s usually not given to one night stands, though, preferring to be in a relationship with a girl before things get too heated. There have been exceptions to that, but again it was a symptom of everything not being right with his world. James prides himself on being a gentleman and he isn't proud of the few occasions when he let his hormones do his thinking for him.
James has always had a love for sports and being outdoors. He doesn’t like to be cooped up for long periods of time and sitting still when he could be out doing something isn’t his strong suit. He has an active lifestyle, doing a lot of hiking and swimming and pretty much anything he can do to stay active.
His brother is the most important person in the world to James. They have their differences in personality, but there is nothing James wouldn’t do for his brother and he knows the feeling is mutual. They enjoy an exceptional closeness that hasn’t waned at all through the years.
HISTORY: James is the younger of two brothers, born on a cool spring day in Chicago, Illinois and raised by a pair of loving, though somewhat strict parents. The Turners weren’t rich by any stretch of the imagination, but they had enough to get by and the boys didn’t want for much as they grew up. They didn’t have a ton of luxuries, but they did have the things they needed.
Having a brother meant having a built in playmate. They did their share of bickering, but they were still extremely close. James’ brother was his near constant companion. It was a fact that probably drove the elder Turner sibling crazy at times - having your little brother following you and your friends everywhere isn’t always cool - but James was oblivious to this.
Like many boys, he started playing sports at a young age. He tried a little of everything, but football was the one that really stuck. He loves playing the game and he's hoping to get a scholarship playing for a college team by the time this year is over with.
Playing football has helped to cement James' popularity with his peers. He has no shortage of girls vying for his attention, but he doesn't seem to notice the majority of them. Oh, he's friendly enough that he'll talk to them when they initiate conversation, but James into the kind of guy to get wasted and screw some random girl at a party. While he <i>has</i> occasionally fooled around with a girl he wasn't seeing, he prefers to get to know a girl and develop a relationship before things get physical.
Besides, the one girl he's had his eye on since freshmen year probably doesn't really know he exists or at least doesn't see him the way he'd like her to. Regardless of this fact, most other girls just seem really uninteresting in comparison.
