ooo.
once upon a time in a faraway kingdom
man made up a story, said that I should believe him
go and tell your white knight that he’s handsome in hindsight
but I don’t want the next best thing

THE PLAYER
NAME : Mary Anne.
PLAYED BY : Rachel Hurd-Wood.
AIM : artemis1778@mac.com.
HOW DID YOU FIND PARSELLEMOUTHE : Cassie told me!

THE CHARACTER
FULL NAME : Glynnis Mary Griffiths.
AGE/BIRTHDAY : 16 years old/3 April, 1926.(a note on birthdays: seventh years were born September 1924 - August 1925; sixth years born September 1925 - August 1926, and so on.)
BLOODLINE : Pureblood.
CURRENT HOUSE : Hufflepuff 6th year.

BIOGRAPHY : Glynnis loves the story about how her parents got together. She thought it was quite romantic, really. Christian Griffiths and Rebecca Murphy both attended Hogwarts, though Christian was two years ahead of Rebecca. Their families were quite close, and as Rebecca became a teenager, she found she quite fancied Christian. Once he graduated, Rebecca continued to write him owls every so often and would see him during holidays, but it didn't seem like he returned her affection. It wasn't until Rebecca had graduated and was living at home again that she noticed Christian asking for her company much more often than before. They courted briefly but properly and were married a respectable time later.

Glynnis was her parents' second child. Her brother, Wyatt Christian, was born a year and a half after his parents were married. Glynnis was born a year after that and her sister, Edra Mary, was born around two years after Glynnis. Christian worked in the Department for Magical Games and Sports, so all of the children had at the very least a basic knowledge of all things Quidditch and Gobstones. They even attended some international events.

Glynnis, for her part, had an eye for Quidditch. She loved the game and enjoyed hearing all about tournaments and matches. She and Wyatt would discuss it for hours on end. Glynnis was not allowed to learn to fly when Wyatt did, and this sorely disappointed the girl. Eventually, though, Christian taught her the technique and basics. She took it all quite seriously, and it wasn't until she went to Hogwarts that her style became more assertive and even somewhat aggressive.

Upon arriving at Hogwarts, she was promptly sorted into Hufflepuff house. Her brother was in Ravenclaw. She didn't mind being in a separate house. She liked Hufflepuff and her housemates well enough, and when it was Edna's turn to come to Hogwarts, she was sorted into Hufflepuff as well. Glynnis was a wallflower for approximately five minutes, and from there on out she just saw no reason to be so reserved. As time went on, she felt more at home and really settled in well. She found her classes challenging but interesting and tried to keep from complaining too often.

Wyatt was on Ravenclaw's Quidditch team, and when Glynnis was old enough, she considered trying out for Hufflepuff's as well. Wyatt was a little unsure of this, as was Rebecca, but Glynnis wanted to give it a shot. She knew she'd never be able to play beater. She had no desire to, either. She'd been taught to see it as more of a man's position, and she certainly didn't have the upper-body strength. Chaser was a realistic option, but she wasn't fond of the idea of that much contact, which also worked when she considered keeper. There was, however, the position of seeker, and that interested her quite a bit. After all, the position of seeker was a vital one. Seekers ended the game. Their task seemed so small but really meant so much in the grand scheme of things. And Glynnis though she had enough focus for such a thing. She practiced quite hard during the summer holidays and school year with a little snitch her father had bought her for a birthday. She improved immensely, and by her fifth year, she was on the team.

Now she's in her sixth year and really enjoy her time. She loves playing Quidditch and spending time with her housemates, and since she's already in the classes she qualified for, she's not spending much time looking into the future.
PERSONALITY : Glynnis simply glows enthusiasm and energy. She's a cheerful young woman who probably doesn't put as much influence upon her studies as she should. Life is just a day by day process. For now she has her friends and Hogwarts and Quidditch, and she's quite all right with that. She loves to have fun, to dance and fly and sing and gossip. With her housemates she really feels at home and can be herself, but it doesn't follow that she puts on a show for others. She just feels as though she doesn't have to inhibit her expressive nature in her own house. With friends in particular, Glynnis is a positive force. She's supportive and loyal and makes it her business to cheer up anyone who needs it.

She really is a very friendly girl who does her best to not hold grudges. She still does, occasionally, but not for lack of trying. She'll try to keep an open mind. She does enjoy getting into discussions about any number of topics, but it's not uncommon for her to become a little too emotionally involved. In her mind, however, if a topic is that close to her heart, there's no way to not be emotionally involved, and furthermore, we're humans and have real emotions, so to discredit them is to discredit humanity itself, and that's just silly when we're all human. So these discussions don't always end well, depending on how good her points are. She can be quite stubborn.

On the pitch she is really in her element. She feels free. During a match her attention is always at its height. She'll do nearly anything to get that snitch, and the variety of moves she's had to utilize in order to pull that off are evidence of that. The fact of the matter is, even for one her age, she's pretty good at her skill, and she's worked hard to get there. It's one of the only things she can really focus on. She oftentimes has a problem directing this focus in any other area, academics or otherwise, and she can be a bit flighty.
