Biography: Amaterasu, Kit Blue

Name: Amaterasu 'Ama' 'Amanda' Aka: Kit Blue, younger Ohana
Age: She'll lie about it, but she's actually 116ish.

Appearance: When she's Kit she has wild purple streaks in her hair and wears revealing clothing. When she's Ama she looks like she did when she was 13 years old. In Beyond, when she's Ohana she looks like her mother as a young woman.

Personality: Her personality is hard to tack down. When Ama she is childlike, with abundant anger and a fair share of crazy. When she's Ohana she is sweet and kind, a bit aloof. When she's Kit she's horny, out of control, a wild child.
Strengths: She's extremely resourceful.
Weaknesses: She's incredibly irrational and fairly insane. She's more grounded as Kit, but has wide swings of emotion.
Quirks: She never forgets a face.
Secrets: She's Ohana's daughter. She knows Circe killed her life match.

Biography: Amaterasu was born on Linoa island. She is the daughter of Ohana Hitomi and a shape-shifter native to the island. Her mother was exiled from the island for some offense involving her weaving magic. Given the choice to stay and never weave again or leave her daughter behind, Ohana had to chose weaving (she knew it would kill her to live on Linoa without being able to make dreams).

Ama was raised by Circe on the island until the age of 13 when Circe was called to the mainland on some important business. Being left to her own devices Ama got herself into some kind of trouble that her father had to bail her out of. With Circe gone Ama's father felt it was time to tell her the truth. He shifted into Ohana's shape to show his daughter her real mother. Ama's personality crystallized in that moment, locked in place and her 13 year old body from that point forward. Every so often she would shift into the form of her mother (because in a way it was the only way she could be with her mother).

She escaped to the mainland and began to sneak around, weaving dreams where she would. Her father shifted into her form to protect her (because she would have been dragged back to Linoa and punished severely for leaving before the appropriate age). She needed to see and find her mother. She also wanted to understand her weaving ability, because she had been forbidden to use it on Linoa.

In the process of weaving dreams randomly she found her lifematch in Nix Rathsas. This was a bit of a complicated thing. Weaving his dreams she knew what Aries (who is actually a persona of Circe) had done. She felt loyalty, both to her lifematch, but also to the woman who raised her. Torn between them she kept secrets from both (she couldn't tell Circe that Nix was still alive; she couldn't tell Nix who attempted to kill him).

Circe eventually learned that Nix was still alive. She found him and killed him in his sleep, not realizing that Amaterasu was weaving for him at the time. Ama's mind was still connected to Nix as he woke up dying; she saw that his killer was Circe in her Aries persona. Ama didn't know enough to disconnect her mind before Nix died. Part of her died with him; as a result Ama cannot age (mentally or physically) in her base persona. She is trapped as the little girl who lost her life match.

Ama has never properly processed this loss, nor has she figured out how to deal with Circe whom she has never told the truth (because then Circe would know that she was on the mainland).

Years later (between Graves and Beyond) Circe returns to an enraged and irrational Amaterasu (who snuck back to Linoa Island before Circe beat her there). She puts the girl on lockdown. It isn't until years later when Ama convinces Circe that she won't do anything crazy that Circe lets her loose again. Ama spends years gathering the resources to travel to the mainland. Now that she's on the mainland she's been stalking her mother and her mother's other daughter, Chloe Wells. She wants to be close to them, but she's afraid she'll be left behind again.

Circe has yet to discover that Ama is no longer on Linoa, but once she does it's certain that she'll travel to the mainland and Ohana to warn her that her crazy daughter is on the loose (considering she never realized she was on the mainland the first time).

Amaterasu developed the persona of Kit Blue while on the mainland the second time. She met Zed Turner at a party and lost her virginity to him. Kit really loves Zed, but she knows if she tells him what she really is she's endangering both him and herself. She's been debating renouncing her abilities and being stuck in her Kit persona, but not before she settles some business with her mother, half-sister, and Circe.
