Something of a culinary genius Chesca likes to cook for herself and friends, but she's afraid that if she were to apply this skill to a career that she'd lose her love for it. She throws excellent dinner parties.

History: Francesca was always the favored child. She was polite and conventional while growing up, adhering strictly to her faith and being an obedient daughter. She didn't break from this mold until after graduating college (at the behest of her mother, who wanted her daughter to marry instead of continuing school).

After college Francesca decided to travel Europe (and as much as the rest of the world as she could afford). She spent a lot of time back-packing and staying in youth hostels. It was during this time that she began to question every convention that had ever been drilled into her. She started to shed her parents' ideas and develop her own.

At some point Francesca tired of traveling and returned home, but it didn't take her long to start missing her sister (and get sick of listening to her mother carry on about how she should be married already; when was she going to get her grandbaby?). Chesca packed her bags and headed to America where she moved in with her sister.

History: Antonia never particularly liked her life in Spain. Not that things have changed since moving to America ten years ago.

In her teens years Antonia developed a bad habit of dating unavailable or married men, this has continued into her adult life (and has been a constant plague that she seems to invite). She was smart and beautiful, something men had a tendency to chase after. She developed a bit of a reputation in Barcelona for being the easiest girl in Spain.

She applied for a visa after a particularly bad break up and shortly thereafter renounced her citizenship from Spain. She became an American citizen and burned up her passport with the goal of never traveling back to Spain.

When her sister needed a place to stay a few years back she invited her to move in. Despite having no desire to see most of her family again, Antonia has a good relationship with her sister Francesca.

At present Antonia works as a legal secretary for Westerveldt & Parrish.

Paul Parrish, first born of Edwin and Magnolia. He was expected above all of the other children to take after his father, help run the company and be the man about the house. His parents were only too pleased when he actually lived up to their expectations. He is level-headed and always in mind of what is right and what is wrong.

He married his high school sweet heart Larissa shortly after graduation and a few years later the couple had Amelia, their only child. Several years ago they went through a bitter divorce, the details of which are kept very hush hush. Paul accepted sole custody of their daughter Amelia and the girl never seemed to mind. Paul and Amelia moved in with his sister Renee and her husband Erick. They used to share the old penthouse gifted to the children by Magnolia and Edwin. Renee and Paul get along enough that it was never an issue.

Two years ago Paul was diagnosed with cancer and is currently undergoing treatment As a result Edwin Parrish has asked Paul's siblings to move back into the old penthouse to help Paul and Amelia through this rough time. Paul isn't too pleased by his father's request (and neither is Renee).

Last year Paul's sisters Rachel and Ingrid were presumed dead in a boat crash. As much as he didn't get along with his younger sisters he was devastated by this news and the emotional turmoil caused him many set backs with his health.

Amelia Parrish was the firstborn grandchild of Edwin and Magnolia, daughter of Paul and Larissa. Born fifteen years ago to wealthy, young parents, Amelia was always given everything she could desire. Even though she's been spoiled she's still a reasonably down to earth kid. She admires her aunts Rachel and Ingrid (perhaps because she looks a lot like them).

She attended a private school in New York City. Her father didn't want to disrupt her schooling after the divorce and he didn't want to look for another house (as he'd given the house to his ex-wife; he didn't want to fight anymore at the point). As a result father and daughter moved in with his sister Renee, Amelia's other favorite aunt. She loves living in the city, loves her school and her wealth (though she does her best not to flaunt it). She switched schools and now attends Heaton Academy, a private school just outside of Burnham.

Amelia has several hobbies. She plays the piano, dances (though she's not so good as her aunts and is sad to admit it), and is an excellent swimmer.

Paul was a little afraid that his daughter would be influenced negatively by her aunts Rachel and Ingrid. This fear turned to sorrow when his sisters were lost at sea in a tragic boat crash. Amelia still struggles with the loss of her aunts and her father's failing health.

Larissa Parrish, formerly Larissa Pope. She grew up in the midwest with big dreams and chased them at the behest of her family and everything aroud her. She married into the Parrish family and has a daughter, 15 year old Amelia.

However she divorced her husband Paul and after a dreadful court battle won more assets than are probably fair. She is currently modeling in Burnham City and being a general pain in the ass to her ex-husband.

She has a brother, Travis and by extension a foster sister, Tilly but doesn't talk to either of them even though they now all live in the same town. She never had a good relationship with her brother growing up and hasn't bothered to try now as an adult.

Not much is known about Anatoli. He was born in 1981. He keeps to himself.

When he was a child he cried a lot at first and had terrible headaches for a long time. He couldn't seem to explain to anyone that he was hearing their thoughts (people pushed him off as crazy and he spent some time in Pleasantview Asylum). He had to learn to control his ability on his own (since there were no other mind readers around to help him and no one would believe him anyway). It took him years in the asylum to learn control, but once he did he was given a clean bill of health (mostly since he'd learn to fake it, much like Evanegline Rothschild).

Once he had control of his abilities the headaches ceased (for the most part, he still gets a crazy one every now and again, especially when he's sick). He now has excellent control over his abilities. He can filter out certain thoughts and target in to one particular person in a crowd. He's frequently seen wearing headphones since certain types of music help him keep his focus and filter out stray thoughts.

Emigrated to California from Russia after an incident with her cousin Nikolai (who sexually abused her). She felt dreadful for leaving her sister but it was necessary at the time. She learned to speak English very well, applied for citizenship and with what money she had started attending Ruize, where she met Suzanne. She started dating Collin after things fell out between him and Suzanne. She may still be with Collin. She moved to the city for better opportunities and also because she missed her best friend.

Emigrated to California from Russia after an incident with the same cousin Nikolai who abused her sister. She struggled with the language a lot at first, but as her writing improved so did her speaking. She befriended another immigrant named Dragomir Radzimier. There friendship became something else, but Lana was being tempted by someone else, Markus Albrecht (known simply as Mack to all of his friends). For a while she tried to date both, then one (fixating on Drago). Eventually she cheated on Drago with Mack and before long she decided to leave Drago for him. She agreed to move with her sister to the city if only to escape her messy love life. She was surprised when Mack agreed to pick up and move as well.

Suzanne was born in 1984 by a teen mother, deserted by her boyfriend 2 months prior in Baja, California. She was given up for adoption and taken in by the Suarez family who lived in La Cinqua. A year later her "little brother" was born Victor Ramon Suarez. Best of friends, they decided to go to the same college. Suzanne had been attending Ruize for 2 and a half years and was in her junior year when a student in her dorm was killed. She was studying for a journalism major with a dual minor in Spanish and business (hoping to one day fit the three together and open her own Spanish language newspaper publication for the southern California region). She struggled to finish school when she learned that she was adopted and that her real mother was not allowed to contact her. She moved out of her parent's house and moved in with Anya (and later Anya's sister, Svetlana) in a little apartment and continued going to school. She hooked up with Collin Wells a few time and carried a serious torch for him until she met Ray. She and Ray started dating when she started contacting her biolgical mother Tabitha Flores. She moved to the city to live with her biological mother after deciding to spend a summer there and working on her dancing. While there Ray died in a swimming accident. She decided that she had nothing to go back to California for and made the move permanent. Suzanne is dreadfully afraid of water. She's really good at flamenco dancing and has won several competitions. She'll never admit it but she's a big fan of bubblegum pop music.

Your typical all American girl. Cheerful to a fault. She was born and raised in LaCinqua, California to hippy parents. She went to college at Ruize and graduated near the top of her class. She dated Mack for a long time before they drifted apart. It was a mutual breakup and she was only mildly peeved when he began dating Svetlana. She decided to apply to grad school at Heaton University when all of her friends relocated to the city. She was accepted and is starting her second semester now. She was good friends with Jenn Chenowith until she moved back to California. She's very good friends with Anya and Suzanne.

First generation American, born of German immigrants. Everyone knows him as Mack. His first words were German. He lived in LaCinqua for most of his life. He also attended Ruize and graduated. He dated Julia for a long time before they drifted apart. He then began his up and down affair with Svetlana Kozlova. He took Jenn out on a date when Lana had broken up with him, but it didn't go anywhere. After awhile Lana and Mack got back together. When she moved to the city he agreed to move with her and the two found an apartment together.

Harper is the youngest of four children. He is closest with his sister Maureen. First born Jolene, then Shane, Moe (who is married to his best friend Berkley), then Harper. He had a fairly uninteresting childhood. He got into art in high school and decided he wanted to make that his career. His high school sweet heart died and then everything fell apart. He started drinking and hearing voices. College was a little better for Harper and he met his best friends Berkley Hathway and Jameson Taylor. They have weekly poker games where they bet the most ridiculous things (like playing gay for 2 years, a bet that Harper fulfilled beautifully, until later when he fell in love with a guy and realized he was actually gay). Harper sought therapy for the voices and AA for the drinking, however, he had fallen off the wagon and the voices weren't far behind.

Harper used to work at Diamond Advertising Agency before a series of incidents that resulted in the death of his girlfriend Sam (who fell down the stairs in a blackout and broke her neck).

Harper had something of a nervous breakdown as a result. He drove to Texas to steal a bathtub Madonna (which he later altered so that it would look like Sam and showed in an art show called Broken Angels. He quit Diamond and pursued his art career more faithfully with success.

When he returned he started a peculiar friendship with Jon Fixmer (who had also been dating Sam and was quite a bit crazy himself). Their friendship turned into something more and Jon and Harper began to date.

Their relationship has been rocky at best. Jon suffers from severe schizophrenia which rears its ugly head every now and again. Coupled with Harper's own delusions and the two rack up more therapy bills than should be humanly possible. They've struggled through a lot of hard times, but their love is stronger than the problems their disorders seem to cause.

Harper lost his dad a few years ago to cancer. Jon and Evangeline kept him from losing his shit throughout the ordeal. Shortly after that was when his sister married his best friend Berkley.

Harper and Jon currently share an apartment in Manhatten with their two dogs, Viktor and Veronica.

Harper also has frequent visitations from his other best friend Angel Rothschild who travels from Pleasantview at least once a week to see him. They befriended one another in a doctor's office waiting room. Neither one can decide which of them is more fucked up, which is probably why they're such good friends.

Vivacious and latex clad Janeane was actually the geek of the class when in high school. Voted most likely to clone herself. It was only during college that Janeane really let loose and became the wild and sexy woman that she is today. She has been working in the sexual relations field of psychology for years now, out of her apartment, and later in a brothel. Her clients come highly recommended and she helps them with all manner of sexual dysfunction.

For a time she dated Curtis Lane. Their relationship was a bit shaky, even given that he knew about her work. They moved in together and Janeane quit her job. A few months later Curtis disappeared. All of his possessions left behind, no notice, without a word. Janeane was shattered.

She found a new apartment and picked up her old job, this time in a brothel. She met Jasper McCalligan outside of the apartment building one night and the two hit it off. Sadly, after dating for some time Jasper disappeared just like her last boyfriend. Convinced that she's a jinx, Janeane has sworn off dating for the time being and is trying to find something in her life worth holding on to.

Katsuo Ochi was born in Japan. He emigrated to America knowing that his lifestyle would not be well accepted by his family. He doesn't go by his given name and instead prefers to be called Princess.

Princess is something of a drag queen. He would prefer to say he's gender-fluid. He'll wear girl clothes or boy clothes, wigs and makeup, whatever suits his whimsy. He worked at a restaurant while attempting a modeling career (without much success). Finally he bought a bike and became a bike messenger, a job he actually kind of enjoys.

He used to live with other drag queens (J.P. Mystic and Sister), however J.P. died in a tragic accident and Sister moved in with her boyfriend, Tony (which I wonder about). His cousin Kim moved in to fill that void after giving him an ultimatum to return to Japan and get married or get cut out of the family fortune.

Princess who was dating Michael Volkova at the time (and still is) opted to stay and be cut out even though his mother was dying and he'd never be able to see her again. It was a hard decision, but Princess is happy that he stayed.

He's gotten used to living with Kim, Dennis and baby Mariko, though he's been thinking about moving into an apartment for just him and Michael. His conscience won't let him since Dennis and Kim can't really afford the apartment on their own.

Kimiko is Katsuo's cousin. She has an older sister Haruko who scares the daylights out of both of them.

She met Dennis O'Clery in a grocery store and the two became fast friends (and then lovers). Not knowing much about sex Kim, who had never really been a wild child until arriving in Burnham, got pregnant. She and Dennis decided to keep the baby and Dennis moved in with her and Princess.

She gave birth to daughter Mariko on Halloween of 2007. She loves her daughter and has proven an excellent mother, much to the surprise of Princess and Haru. She still struggles to make a decent living however, working at a grocery store and having Princess babysit.

Leif is a student of language. He grew up bi-lingual at the insistence of his Latvian mother. Eventually he picked up other languages in his retinue and began to use it in freelance work. He never went to college and instead traveled the world and used his knowledge of languages as a translator to make money when he needed it.

He moved into Burnham apartments and his friend Shane pointed him to a want ad for a roommate. He ended up with Amelia Doyle, though frankly she can be a bit to high and mighty for Leif's taste. They have a lot in common, but she refuses to really open up and get to know him.

Leif met his girlfriend Nadja one day riding the bus. Turns out she's a hot model who's actually down to earth and Leif couldn't be happier.

Tilly lived with Travis' family as a foster child. She is more his sister than his actual sister. She and Travis have lived together for many years and have never considered moving apart. They lived in California for a long time before she was transferred to the Burnham City branch of the Onyx Modeling agency (for which she is a talent scout/executive).

After years of fruitless dating Tilly decided if she wanted to have a baby she'd have to do it on her own. She went to a sperm bank, got herself some magic and in July 2009 Tilly gave birth to her daughter Emmaline. She's proud to be a career mom, though she doesn't get to spend as much time with Emmaline as she'd like.

Travis grew up gay in the midwest with a black foster sister and a biological sister (Larissa Parrish) who never particularly cared for him. He is a webcomic artist and doesn't particularly mind where he lives, which is part of why he moved with Tilly to Burnham City despite that his sister lives there.

He's a bit naive and kind of inept at social interactions. He hasn't had much luck dating and people tend to take advantage of him (except for Tilly, who always has his back). He makes his living at his art, though his work can be terribly isolating. He's not really sure how to branch out and network.

Friends with Leif Worth. Formerly dated Samantha Parks, tried to help her overcome her drug addiction. Bit of a womanizer, but otherwise a good guy. Shane works in a record shop in town, selling vintage tunes. He's partial to punk rock in public, few people know he plays the acoustic guitar (more lyrical songs).

If Shane has a last name I haven't figure it out yet.

Niamh McGinty was born in Ireland. Her younger brother Donough died in France after having been hit by a truck. She has a nephew through Donough's girlfriend, Sabine and she visits him as frequently as her finances allow. Her cousins own a bar in NYC. She used to work with the IRA, but recently retired. She has contacts with Kevin Thomas and Aella Marcellos.
