| My Poor Mouth |
[08 Mar 2005|03:56pm] |
Woke up kinda late this morning. Checked all my emails and everything and yeah as you can see in the last post, well I kinda forgot about the time. So I was rushing around for like 5 minutes getting all my gear together. So I left, and of course i forgot the keys to the car so I had to go back inside the house and find them.
The roads were pretty bad today, especially the interstate. I was going like 30MPH at some points. It was odd though because I expected to see some idiot drive his car off the road but I didn't see any one on the side of the road or anything. I did see a lot of cops out though. Got up to Burlington around 10:50. It's a good thing my dentist lady was running late cause so was I. I could barely even find parking in the darn lot. I kind of made my own parking place
Got in there and filled out some paperwork. Finally around 11am she saw me, poked and prodded around in my mouth for like 30 minutes, used that evil toothbrush thing and finally the real dentist just inspected my teeth and said I was fine. It was cool because he shops at Small Dog and he was telling how great everything was. He's a pretty cool guy
Berkey called my cell, it must have been while I was in the chair. Said no one had come in, Morgan was sick and half the staff was out because of the weather. He needed me to come in. So I drove to the mall, cause I wanted to check in at EB Games. So I talked to the guy there for a little about Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening. Then we talked about that Wario game for the DS. And about the PSP launch. he seems like a pretty cool guy! So yeah then I left, checked out KB Toys. And looked around, they had this Lizzie McGuire game. I about fell in love with it, but it was like $15.00 so I didn't get it. Found my way to the MLP section. Found BowTie and got her and Pepperberry. Free Pepperberry so why not I'll post some pics later maybe
Talked to Merch Pimp Mikey, saw saw new images and stuff. Talked about shopping carts and whatnot. Headed into work. It was pretty busy when I got here at Small Dog. but things have calmed down. I've got to tell you all about my new job, but I'll post that later tonight when I get some more time. It's wonderful‚
So yeah just working and stuff now. open till 8pm, GRRR!!! Oh well, MONEY! $$$$ Berkey said Friday was payday which IS VERY VERY GOOD! until then, have a good one!

| Sony preps iPod Shuffle |
[08 Mar 2005|04:13pm] |
Sony will next month ship its ‘iPod Shuffle killer', a compact Flash-based music player with up to 1GB of storage. What distinguishes the Sony product - apart from the distinctly disposable lighter styling - is the integration of an OLED read-out into the player's casing. The device doesn't have a screen as such - track details, the time and tuner station information - appear on the surface of the player.
Sony will offer two models, one with an FM tuner (NW-E50x) and one without (NW-40x), both in 512MB and 1GB versions, and each available in a range of colours, including‚ er‚ "froth tea silver‚" if our translation software is to be believed. Other colours include midnight black, ocean blue, rose pink and olive green. A limited edition gold version is on the cards too.
In addition to the usual Sony support for ATRAC 3 and ATRAC 3 Plus, the players will support MP3 natively.
The unit measures 8.5 x 2.9 x 1.4cm and weighs 47g. While it connects via USB, the player appears to have a non-standard connector, so it won't connect directly to a PC's USB port, just the bundled cable.
Sony claims the devices will operate for a staggering 50 hours on a single charge, but that's when playing back 105Kbps ATRAC 3 files in "power saving mode‚". It's not clear what this mode is - presumably it's with no EQ and the display turned off. Still, it's a big leap over the Shuffle's 18-hour play time.
If it's long playback times you want, Sony also announced today a 70-hour capable player, the NW-E10x, available with 256MB, 512MB and 1GB of Flash storage. Unlike the NW-E40x and NW-E50x, the circular-shaped NW-10x is powered by a AA battery rather than an internal rechargeable cell, charged over by USB. It too is available in a range of colours: silver, blue, "velvet‚" and orange.
The NW-10x will ship on 21 March for ¥10,000 (256MB NW-E103), ¥14,000 (512MB NW-E105) and ¥20,000 (1GB NW-E105). The radio-less NW-E405 (512MB) and NW-E407 (1GB) will retail for around ¥17,000 ($162/£85) and ¥22,000 ($209/£109), respectively, on 21 April. So will the FM-capable NW-E505 (512MB) and NW-E507 (1GB), for around ¥20,000 ($190/£99) and ¥25,000 ($238/£124), respectively.

Well it's that time that we get some new movies, huge thanks to Morgan and her friend LtDan. We now have:
Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason Corpses Doing Hard Time Finding Neverland Going The Distance Noel Oceans 12 The Vault With or Without You The Machinist Seed of Chucky
Whoohoo! Err there are some missing RARs, going to bother Morgan Hehe I love it, she rules. So yeah‚
Work today was pretty decent. Kinda sucked at one point but I won't going into that. Let's talk about my new job!
I'll be an IT Manager for some company that makes oils and stuff. They seem like a great company to work for. Berkey and I will be doing it together under our newly formed company, we're still thinking of a name for it, I am thinking something like Scrumptious IT Minds. He wants to use Scrumptious and have it internetworked into my newsletter. That would be a great little thing. It'll not only be a company that will work with that oil making company, but the newsletter, consulting, education, systems administration. it'll be BIG! This could be our big break which would be really nice. Although that means I probably won't be going back to school and if I do it will be online courses which is fine with me. So yeah‚
I got my Wiki setup today, although I really have no idea how to use this one either. It's MediaWiki. I guess I just need to look around and fool around with it, it's here: WIKI.SMALLAPPLE.ORG. I think it has potential to be really good if I can gather all my notes and stuff and catalogue them, if I really end up not being able to figure this one out, I'll Word Press it. Not a big deal
So everyone check out JP's new blog layout, it kicks ass, JP's Blog. TEH WOOT! I helped him get it installed, also added Rick to the Blogroll. Ohh yeah, if you haven't noticed my new theme yet, you should get your damn eyes checked.
Picked up BowTie and Pepperberry at KB Toys today I am happy with them, still haven't played with em yet though. Oh yeah, a nice little TinyMeat image link can be found in my link list, thanks Mikey! And I think I am going to watch a movie or something now. Peace.
