A Joke [30 Jul 2005|08:28am]
An attractive woman from New York was driving through a remote part of
Texas when her car broke down. An Indian on horseback came along and
offered her a ride to a nearby town. She climbed up behind him on the
horse and they rode off.
The ride was uneventful except that every few minutes the Indian would
let out a whoop so loud that it would echo from the surrounding hills.
When they arrived in town, he let her off at the local service station,
yelled one final, "Yahoo!" and rode off.
"What did you do to get that Indian so excited?" asked the service
station attendant.
"Nothing," shrugged the woman, " I merely sat behind him on the horse,
put my arms around his waist, and held onto his saddle horn so I
wouldn't fall off."

Thanks Tom [30 Jul 2005|08:29am]
For you idiot newbs, like mostly everyone on iOnMac.com this is how you enable Apache in OS X. I think any dumbass could figure it out, but incase you can't:

It's quite a long time since this was posted and you might have got it figured out, but...

To enable Apache, open System Prefs, click on the Sharing pane, then check the box next to "Personal Web Sharing". You can then drag the files you want to share into your Sites folder (~/Sites/) and access them with the following URL:

http://youripaddress/~username/file.jpg

(That would be ~/Sites/file.jpg in the Finder)

Hope this helps and isn't too late!

TOM

Nippit [30 Jul 2005|08:29am]
Wow, it's been a little since I updated but that's because I've been really busy. I have been trying to comment on people entries and stuff though, sorry if I missed you!

So yesterday was work work work, nothing special happened. Today was riding!! I woke up kinda early, 8am and did some stuff on the computer. I got my hands on Windows Vista Beta 1...which some of you might know as Windows Longhorn so I burned that to a DVD but by the time I had showered and stuff it was time to go. So I made my way to Breckenridge, found it pretty easily. I then got Nippit out of the "paddock" he was in. I would have called it a dirt ring haha. He was all alone too. He came right over to me though so that was a great way to start off. I didn't have to run around and chase him. So I brought him in and crosstied him and did some grooming and then taled up. Basically I just rode around walk/trot/cantered for like 45 minutes and impressed the lady with my elite skills haha BUt yeah, then I just rode him around for a while and Judy went out to do some other things, so I just messed around and tried things out, had fun ya know :P Then I walked him for a bit and brought him in a brushed him off and put him in his little jail/stall...

So then I came home, iChat'd Berkey since he called and then he came and picked me up. We went into Waterbury and got a new key for his Audi, but while that was happening we went to get lunch. We were going to hit up Park Row Cafe but Waterbury Wings sounded better. We saw Rene on the way there, he's a pretty cool guy! Anyways, we got some wings and Philly Cheese Steak, it was delicious. Then we went back to SNowfire to get Robs key and we drove to Small Dog, got a couple things and went to Kehoe Signs in Waitsfield to do some consulting. It was quite easy, took about an hour. Drove back to Small Dog and picked up a PM G4, PM G5, a couple printers and a display and drove to Stowe to do more consulting. We got kinda lost though, but we eventually found it, and let me tell you! This house was SOOOO NICE! 50 inch plasma TVs in each room, amazing office for working in, a big very very very very nice kitchen...oh boy, it was a dream. So we worked there on very easy things for about 2 hours...I made $75 for 3 hours of work today, which was very very nice.

So Berkey drove me home and I chatted with Gail for a little. She left me a PM on EquestrianHonor boards but I was to lazy to read it and I still haven't...so yeah I went to Gregs tonight. I also got a new iPod case which I actually really like. It's like totally weird and stuff, but I'll show pics and explain more tommorow. Too tired right now. So Gregs was fun, we hung out, skated some...watched some Reno 911...and now you know what?! I AM GOING TO SLEEP!
