Friday: Got to Small Dog around 9am, waited a little for Berkey to show up. Then he had osme paper work to do, like time cards and stuff before we left for St. Albans Messenger. So we got that stuff done and we were on the road by about 10am. Got to the Messenger around 11:30 or so and started working on one of their machines that was crashing and all. The reason he went and not just me was because these were OS9 machines and I know almost next to nothing about OS9. I absolutely hate OS9. So around 3:30pm we finally called it quits cause he had to be in Boston. What fun that was, NOT. So we finally got back to Small Dog around 5pm. It took us longer then expected since there was a nice accident right before the Shelburne exit...bah, stupid people can't drive. Anyways...I dropped him off and got some gear since I'll be going back to the Messenger on Monday. So after I got all that crap together, I just went home. I spent the night mucking around with computers and the network, spent until like 3am on that.
Saturday: After completely rebuilding the network and getting to bed at 3am, well that wasn't enough. My Athlon64 box decieded to take a shit, and we can blame that on dumb crap Microsoft Windows. So I spent yesterday morning cleaning up anything I missed the night before on Friday and working through filing my invoices of things bought...some things dated back to like 2002 which was crazy and then some came from March 9, 2006. So I spent a good amount of time doing that, fun fun. Then I finally said, screw it and went outside cause it was way to nice to be inside. I went riding, which is something I haven't done in what felt like forever. I took him around the trail 3 times and that was lots of fun!! Then I came home and called Greg since he had been home the whole damn time just hiding and playing STUPID World of WarCraft. UUUGH! That game is SATAN! So I got him to come to get some food and movie. So while he was going for a walk with his mom and then coming here, I finished up some homework, which I still need to work on, just Website Design class though.
So he got here around 3pm. I had him call the China Star place and we were off. Got our food, chatted briefly with Ming and sat down and ate our food. Chatted about this and that and then we went to the movies. Got there late and decieded to wait until the 7:15 (worst idea ever). So we went to EB Games, played some of that new Sonic "snowboarding" game for PS2. It was sucky. Then we played Call of Duty 2 on xBox 360. I must say it actually looks really shitty on the 360, there are so many jagged edges in things, and uugh, FPS on a console sucks. So then we looked at PC games and I told him I would buy WoW to prove that it's not addicting. The only reason I haven't picked up WoW is because it's addicting and I am afraid I'm going to be like one of those people in China, and I will die from it...so we'll so how this experiment goes...if I die...well then Blizzard has really made a good game haha So I bought that game...yay.
So we hung out there for an hour, playing that Mario soccer game and Mario Party 7, GREAT GAMES! So then we went back to the theatre to check the time, only an hour had passed haha so we read some of the local newspaper and made fun of things. Then we went to the music store, and played on the keyboards and drumsets and guitars. We were making the band obviously. So then we went back to the theatre and there was a long ass line...we are so stupid. We should have bought tickets and skipped the whole damn line hahaha So we waited and then finally bought tickets to the worst movie ever created; Date Movie. DON'T EVER SEE IT. It's terrible!! So after wasting 80 minutes and watching that we went home.
I got home and started working on my stupid AMD64 box. Finally around 2am, I had the data pulled off it and was re-installing Windows XP. By 3:30am I was in bed, after finally getting the base Windows XP installed.
Today/Sunday: Woke up around 10:40am. Been working on that damn AMD64 box since. Everything is going ok. I am so glad i have all my podcasts on an iPod cause those never move over nicely. So I figure I can just charge it from the wall when it needs to, no big deal. Just getting SP2 and then Daemon Tools to install some apps. Then I think it'll be done. Going to Nan's in a couple minutes to help her with PayPal. Hopefully I can start my World of WarCraft experiment tonight. We'll see! :)
Todays backup Sunday, look like my shell script worked on my ASO server. woot.
