| World of Warcraft: Getting Back Deleted Quest Items |

I was never going to write a short article like this one because I figured no one would come to need information like this, but after reading around on ThottBot.com, I figured it would help those who might find them in this sort of situation!
Maybe there isn’t a lot of people that find themselves in this situation, but maybe there’ll be a couple! Just the other day, I was doing a quest in-which the quest-giving NPC had given me an item so I could open a panther cage (a key to be more specific). After finally killing the panther, I went around doing other quests and let that one just sit in my log. I think about 3 days later I was logged in and going through my bags seeing what I did and didn’t need. I guess I just assumed I wouldn’t need that key anymore since I had gotten what I needed from the panther. I tossed the key and went along my merry way.
The next day, I went around handing in all these quests I had completed. Finally it came time to hand in the item I had received from killing the panther, but the quest-giving NPC also wanted his key back!! UH OH!
I quickly Google’d “getting item back world of warcraft” and nothing came up that seemed to be of much use. So, after sitting around and thinking for a good 10-15 minutes, I came up with this idea.
Abandon the quest and re-get it! After opening up my quest log and abandoning the quest, I walked over the NPC and got the quest again. He dropped another panther cage key into my bag and a yellow question mark popped up over his head!
Now this method would really only work when you get an item from the NPC before, if I had deleted the item I got from killing the panther, I would just have to go back out and kill the panther again.
So there’s my little hint/tip whatever for today!
